  • The image shows a zoomed in section of Valles Marineris canyon
  • UFOvni Disclosure has created video showing the 'cloud of smoke'
  • It claims it could be a nuclear explosion or extra-terrestrial methane
  • The site suggests Nasa cut off the live feed showing the explosion
  • Scientists say it is an illusion caused by the angle of crater and trench
  • Last year, physicist Dr John Brandenburg said he believed Martians known as Cydonians and Utopians were massacred in the nuclear attack

Conspiracy theorists claim to see a 'mushroom cloud' on Mars | Daily Mail Online

True or not true it's interesting when new thoughts come out on some of these issues. Some will never be proved in our life time, but as it is said things that ppl sometimes think are conspiracies stem from something true.

Since D.M. had this in their science section I am putting it in Science.

Rover just found a pic of what looks like metal on mars. But it is going back the way it came in so the metal could be part of rover.
Fun fun!

Or simply a meteorite.

Do you see conspiracy in everything?

Did an ancient nuclear war kill life on Mars? Conspiracy theorists claim to see a 'mushroom cloud' on the red planet
This is the title of the article linked to. It is a conflicted title. If an ancient nuclear war killed life on Mars, no intelligent beings capable of creating new nuclear explosions should exist. Why even mention "conspiracy theorists"? Either there was a cloud or there was not. If the cloud was real, what caused it should be investigated. Why even mention "nuclear" before investigation begins? Is it because the 96% carbon dioxide atmosphere of Mars almost rules out any explosions requiring oxygen, there being only traces of oxygen in the Mars atmosphere? I am interesting in whatever we can learn about Mars. I am glad that the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter and the two Rovers on the surface of Mars have sent back images and other data.
