Instead, a small handful of anonymous sources were allowed to drive a smear campaign, an agenda about me, because our left-wing media in America today, sadly, doesn’t care about the truth. All they were out to do, Mr. Chairman, was destroy me. And why do they want to destroy me? Because I am a change agent, a threat to them.
I am willing to endure these attacks. What I will do is stand up for the truth and for my reputation. False attacks. Anonymous attacks. Repeated ad nauseam, printed ad nauseam as ‘facts.'”

Good for him. The radical left Legacy media needs to be thwarted and go under. They continue to plummet in their numbers as far as being a trustworthy institution. They push aside their ethics and integrity all the time do this kind of stuff in the name of their ideology and cause.
We have to call out the lying MSM regularly. Every day they should be assumed to be the failing institution they are until they decide to just report the news.
Some of this comes from Hegseth himself. He is completely unqualified to be Defense Secretary. Apparently competence is not something that Trump is looking for.
