Congress grills Pete Hegseth

You see what you’re told to see. You don’t see the problems with Trump and Hegseth, because you’re forbidden from thinking for yourself.
That the lie libs tell themselves

MAGAs are just as informed as you are, but have different values to guide them

Pete Hegseth defended himself diligently in the Senate hearings this morning.

My personal concern remains that being a Fox news personality and a former commander of a HQs and Headquarters Company is not sufficient experience to qualifying a nominee to be confirmed as Secretary of Defense.

I think his 20 years of service and combat experience makes him far more relatable to the boots on the ground than your average Harvard educated Pentagon pick who never fired their gun outside a range can be.

That said, you're correct that the top brass have a lot more to consider and weigh in their decision making than the grunts on the front line.

I don't think anyone is truly qualified or prepared for these types of positions. Senator Mullin made a great point that nobody sitting in the Senate was qualified for that job either. They were just able to get more votes than someone else. Given how many bad decisions we've seen come from the Beltway elite of the military, Hegseth seems like a fresh change and I'm willing to give him a chance.

He outsmarted, outclassed and outmaneuvered the dribbling partisan hagfolk like a 300 pound man pulling a Chihuahua on a steel choke chain.

"Restoring the warrior ethos".... What a perfect statement for a secretary of a defense. Not whether or not you are rainbow, 🌈🌈. Not whether or not you are Republican or Democrat... Not whether or not you are white, black, yellow, brown or otherwise.... But:

Can you do this job?

Best statement I've ever heard from anyone aspiring to that position. The screeching swamp denisons dripping with the foul odor of their partisan hatred and hypocrisy fell one after another under the heel of a self-identified real man. A man who doesn't claim to be perfect but a man who also claims to be capable.

Pete is everything that the left hates.

Straight
Patriotic
Unafraid
A proven warrior
A man who knows himself
A man who is willing to face his own flaws

He will get not a single vote from the Democrats. Maybe Fetterman.

The transformation on the other side of the microphones from barely identifiable human forms to hideously malformed human hellgrammites was almost instantaneous upon their assumption of their questioning time.

Too bad Pete didn't have cloves of garlic and a bottle of holy water to make them run howling in the other direction.
He's an unqualified drunk.

That’s your story. The problem with your story is that it’s told by people with serious character flaws. People that are willing to say anything to get what they want.

You’re a terrible judge of character.
Don't fall off that horse, you're saddled up way too high.

So says the poster who's been whining like a little ***** this whole thread.
Grow up and move along. :eusa_whistle:
This is another childish, emotional response.

Where are the adults you speak of? I’d like to talk with them.

I disagree. MAGAs are largely quite misinformed. Their information ecosystem is full of misinformation and blocks legitimate sources.

For example, when there’s good economic data about a Democratic president, you’re told not to believe the government statisticians.

im sure your side is the same way.....most people go by what they see in their lives not what some govt agency says...

Experience tells us that happy economic stats from democrat admins are often later revised downward

No one “informs” us not to believe it

We already knew

Everyone is like this to some degree. For the best of us, it’s minimal.

For MAGA, it’s extreme.

I disagree that people just go by what they’re experiencing and if they do, that’s not very wise.
