Congress grills Pete Hegseth

True. If only someone had asked how many pushups he can do, we’d be so much better off.
Seems a disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, ongoing recruitment shortfalls, four failed audits and going AWOL from duty allegedly for some medical treatment is your idea of
meritocracy and high standards.

No wonder you love your cult.

That’s nice.
General 4 star Tommy Franks who commanded also Centcom and won his pair of wars against Saddam and set up the Afghani's to fight their own war when they kicked out the Taliban. No, our troops just helped the Afghan warriors a bit. Franks retired after 36 years.

Pete Hegseth defended himself diligently in the Senate hearings this morning.

My personal concern remains that being a Fox news personality and a former commander of a HQs and Headquarters Company is not sufficient experience to qualifying a nominee to be confirmed as Secretary of Defense.

13 hours ago · Pete Hegseth is set to take the hot seat before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday in a hearing that is sure to break out into fireworks. President-elect Donald Trump nominated Hegseth ...
Being woefully unqualified is the least of Hegseth's problems.

Not only should this alcoholic imbecile not be SecDef, he shouldn't even have a security clearance after all his problems with alcohol and sexually abusing women in the past. A normal person in the military would not be able to get a security clearance with this sordid history.

Not only will it be disgraceful if Hegseth becomes SecDef, it will be a tragedy....almost on par with Trump becoming president again.

Horseshit. He drove a fifty person charity into bankruptcy. THATS IT. This is the largest government into in the US. He doesn't have a clue. The bureaucrats are going to bone him.
Bullshit. Why were Republicans able to enter into the record letters from all the people he worked with at those veteran agencies who said he was awesome?

What qualification for the position does he not meet Dr. Phosphorous ?

Bring the list of qualifications and tell the class which ones he doesn’t meet.

Why can’t any of you MSDNC Lemmings answer this question?

The job of SecDef is almost impossible to conceive in its immensity. You manage a workforce of 2.87 million employees and a budget of $842 billion. You are responsible for the longest and most complex logistics operation ever devised by man. You are tasked with handling today’s national security challenges and looking over the horizon to plan for challenges that will appear years after you have left the job. You must have a fluent understanding of large organizations and bureaucracies. You must be a subject-matter expert in either war fighting, technology, or international affairs—but it helps if you have mastery over more than one of those disciplines.

Here are the backgrounds of the last nine SecDefs:

Lloyd Austin: Vice chief of staff of the Army, commander of U.S. forces in Iraq, commander of CENTCOM.

Mark Esper: Deputy assistant SecDef, senior leader at Raytheon, secretary of the Army.

Jim Mattis: Supreme Allied Commander of NATO, commander of CENTCOM.

Ash Carter: Congressional Office of Technology Assessment, Kennedy School of Government, under SecDef for acquisition, technology, and logistics.

Chuck Hagel: Founder of a technology company, chair of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board, U.S. senator for twelve years.

Leon Panetta: Member of Congress for sixteen years, White House chief of staff, director of CIA.

Robert Gates: Deputy national security advisor, director of CIA.

Donald Rumsfeld: Member of Congress for six years, head of White House Office of Economic Opportunity, ambassador to NATO, White House chief of staff.

William Cohen: U.S. senator for eighteen years (preceded by six years in the House of Representatives), including serving on the Senate’s Intelligence, Armed Services, and Government Affairs Committees.

Then there’s Hegseth, whose CV reads:

  • Served in the Army National Guard.
  • Briefly led a small, failing nonprofit.
  • Helped host a weekend show on Fox News.
Looking at all of this, you’re probably asking yourself, “How is this guy getting a confirmation hearing at all? Especially with his personal vices?”

And they all did a pathetic job.

Dumb ****, a normal person in the military would not even be able to get a security clearance after all the dumb shit that Hegseth has done...let alone lead a military organization of over 3 million people.

Forget it....you are simply too stupid and partisan to talk to. An unsophisticated, know-nothing, moronic rube is what you are.

I’m a little torn on Hegseth. The whole paying the accuser off bothers me but the police investigated and decided not to go forward with a criminal charge so that is what it is. Trump has stayed behind him. I think odds are he gets confirmed. I’m OK with that. The DC military brass does need shaken up.

Pushups vs. Fuckups like Biden's Historic disastrous
Afghan Withdrawal. No way attempting to evade truth behind
how casually and carelessly the Biden Regime handled
the Afghanistan Withdrawal.Americans don't cotton
lying about Military preparedness and success.
Yet that's all the Democrats know.Just Lie and blow-off
facts until even the Cows leave the barn.
And Cows don't cotton being out-farted.
