Trans people are far more likely to be the victims of violent crime

Yep....trans people are far more violent toward each other....

Authors’ Conclusions: Transgender individuals experience a dramatically higher prevalence of IPV victimization compared with cisgender individuals, regardless of sex assigned at birth. IPV prevalence estimates are comparably high for assigned-male-sex-at-birth and assigned-female-sex-at-birth transgender individuals, and for binary and nonbinary transgender individuals, though more research is needed.

Barriers to Assistance

  • Research shows that LGBT people face barriers to seeking help that are unique to their sexual orientation and gender identity. These include:
    • Legal definitions of domestic violence that exclude same-sex couples
    • Dangers of “outing” oneself when seeking help and the risk of rejection and isolation from family, friends, and society
    • The lack of, or survivors not knowing about, LGBT-specific or LGBT-friendly assistance resources
    • Potential homophobia from staff of service providers or from non-LGBT survivors of IPV and IPSA with whom they may interact
    • Low levels of confidence in the sensitivity and effectiveness of law enforcement officials and courts for LGBT people

And?

The majority of the violence is from their partners....not others.

And sorry, homophobia isn't an issue anymore...not today. You can't swing a dead cat without seeing glowing representations of gays in society and condemnation for anyone who is hostile to them.
