If I ranked the teams as far as who I’m betting on to win FSU would be 8 behind Oregon. Oregon would be a 7-9 pt favorite over FSU. Everyone knows it. They lost their starting QB, and looked non-elite against lesser talent. They shouldn’t be in

You don't take an 8th ranked team and put them in the CFP. They only won the conference championship because the refs blew a key call.

I’m 50/50 on the call. I do think Bama is a better team than FSU and we will see how the Georgia match turns out to see if FSU is the real deal.

I do think it sucks to be Florida and win every game just to not get in. 8 team playoff makes the most sense but 12 will be better than 4

No, it was about competition. FSU had 3 games after their starting QB went down to show they were an elite team, they struggled with their backup, and they had an easier schedule than all others with no top 10
Wins.

Fluffy schedules should be punished, and QBs getting injured matters.

The problem for you here is that I’m within the realm of reality as far as the CFP, you’re the ideologue. I can differentiate between what should be as far as what is, and what should be in general.

Let’s just list facts:

2. FSU didn’t beat a top 10 team
3. FSU looked pedestrian against average talent in the 3 games after their star QB got injured
4. Alabama beat the at-the-time #1 team in the nation, and their only loss is to now #3 Texas.
5. If you polled 1000 sports fans, and asked who would win alabama vs FSU, only FSU mothers of players would say FSU.
6. The CFP only has 4 spots, and their job is to pick the “4 best teams”

Ok we got Washington and Michigan both undefeated taking the top two spots. Now the hard part.

UT and Alabama are the obvious next best two teams. Florida is down to their third string QB but is undefeated. Hard to leave them out, so what do you do?

No FSU was left out because their QB is hurt and the committee doesn't want a boring game in CFP. It has nothing to do with their schedule. If Jordon Travis were available FSU would be in the CFP. And let's by honest here they were looking for any reason to put Alabama in. Alabama's schedule looked tough before the year started but given how the year played out it's pretty pedestrian. Thankfully this is the last year we have to deal with this stupidity.

So did Liberty. Can't just go by record as they all don't play the same teams at the same site at the same time. It is not easy being a SUIT in a room with chicks and cellphones texting with Nick Saban. Obviously FSU played what they think are WEAKER teams up to this point.
