We the People of the United States did not create a more perfect union built on gridlock

The Senate was corrupted after the Civil War when the filthy ass Yankees changed the Senators from being appointed by the States to being elected by the people.

The original intent of the Senate, as envisioned by our Founding Fathers, was to be a check on the House and Executive Branch from oppressing State rights.

With elected Senators that brings in outside special interest influence. For instance, a senatorial candidate may get campaign money and lobbying by a filthy national pro abortion or anti gun rights group.

Instead of doing away with the filibuster why not do what our Founding Fathers knew was the best was to have a Legislative Branch?

By the way, if that was done then the Senate would be a Republican majority because the majority of the states have a Republican legislature that would appoint Republican Senators.
