its insane ! the people running the US gov don't know who or why these things are flying in civilian and even worse military air space !

I'd hazard a guess that it has to do with g'ment surveillance although shadowing a 47' Coasty boat does sound odd.

They can't stay in the air forever.

No, I'm not ok with it happening, but it is happening because we never regulated drone flying ....like over a certain size drone....has to register with the State or Federal govt or when they are put in to air flying, some kind of required notification.

Without such, our govt can't seem to tell us shit.

And NOW with all this panic and hype, we've let every enemy know, they can fly drones too, to gather whatever info....

It's a mess, and a dangerous risk, a loophole for bad guys.

Those regulations already exist. Whoever is flying the drones is breaking multiple laws as it sits right now.

Again, my concern is not only what they are seeing, but what they may have been carrying.

The fact that our government hasnt had a few shot down so we can inspect is just outrageous.

Drones that weigh more than a pound are required to be registered with the FAA. They are not supposed to fly over 400 feet AGL, must NOT violate military or airport airspace, are required to operate on certain frequencies etc.

They are heavily regulated.

We've had sightings in the area of Spokane Airport/Fairchild AFB and it occurred to me. What if these were targeting devices? I just don't understand the government reticence to investigate this.
