My notes from last week...

The 2024 Coachella music festival is wrapping up its first weekend.

Sublime was one of the better acts I saw. Jakob Nowell now does lead vocals. Jakob was 11 months of age when his father Bradley (the original lead singer) passed away from a heroin overdose.

No Doubt reunited and performed a bunch of their hits as well. Didn't care much for the Blur set. The artsy Grimes (a.k.a. the kind-of-but-not-quite Mrs. Elon Musk) had fits with her audio-visual tech (she just played the role of DJ). Lana del Rey did her sultry-dream-glam star thing as the main event for night one. Sabrina Carpenter had a decent stage set and did the typical pop-dance thing. The Aquabats had a fun set on a smaller stage.
