On "tax savings" - America is not in Florida's position. It does not have sudden inflow of revenues due to people relocating because of explosion of remote work and retirees.

America is looking at seas of red ink as far as the eye could see due to aging population worsening worker-to-dependant ratio that will be declining into 2040s.

Desantis, like other Republicans has ZERO solutions to those problems and has shown ZERO to indicate he will be willing and able to pull off the Grand Bargain that is required to get our national fiscal situation under control.
