When I google Sterling & registered republican democrat..I get just as many sites claiming he is a democrat as republican...doesn't matter either way. What I would like to know is why the NAACP was going to give a lifetime achievment award when supposedly everyone knew he was a racist?

Well, when white folks say the same things both you and I have been saying, they get called racist, so how can it be racism coming from one group and not another?

How can we say we know what is better for black folks tahn other races without thinking we have a superior knowledge of what is right for us? It's not a bad form of racialism, but it's still racialism as I said earlier. Because in reality, we most likely DO know what is best for us more than whites or other groups.

It depends on how you are using the word racialism. I'm Black. I would know better than any white person on how to teach my Black child how to navigate. A white person has not experienced what I have. Thats how I know. We also have history that tells us that white people generally are not knowledgeable enough to even teach us history without changing it around. Again I fail to see how that means racism if that is how you are using the word racialism.

Anyone that says someone is racist because their goal is to help others in their group and learn their history is not thinking straight or they simply want to keep you ignorant. You should not be concerned with what "they" are saying.

Donald Sterling is an all out racist.

The NBA Commissioner cannot punish Sterling because he is an owner, who is his boss, however the other owners can and should do something to get him out of the league.

This is not even Sterling at his worst, look at his treatment of Elgin Baylor, the history with him and Sterling were worse and then you have this Largest Housing Discrimination In US History

What hurts Sterling is losing money, so the NBA could release all the staff and players from their NBA contracts and allow them to be free agents, this would hurt the value of the team, allow players to get away from an asshole, this could plummet the value of the team and he would sell. The owners could suspend him indefinitely and not allow him to oversee his team's day to day operations, which could cost the team.

If he remains an owner it is doubtful he could attract anyone with any kind of talent and plummet this team back to the worst franchise in all of pro sports.

It's the owners that have to punish, no boycotts, no complaints from any race, nothing but hitting him in the pocketbook will hurt him.

Whatever is done, Sterling will tie it up in the courts for years, he is extremely litigious.
