Clippers Owner Donald Sterling Tells Girlfriend: Don’t Bring Black People

I just remembered that I have a nephew whose father is a black Cuban national. That makes him 'black'. Since he's my blood relative that makes me black, too!
Dag, yung'n! I gots to get back to flab-stabbin' dat ho in the back o' my hooptie.
I be way up dat junk geekin' away like a muh fuckah, yung'n! MmHmmmm!
Wow! Where did that come from? I'm black!

Is that how your black Cuban national relative speaks? I seriously doubt it...

These are the types of people you fear will get upset?

No, I fear the sensible ones will drift towards his sort of thinking.

Even in that case, it's a form of tribalism & is racism because we are saying we know better than other races , and that it is best to have blacks teach blacks, blacks live with blacks, work with blacks only, etc. Even though it could be racist, it isn't a wrong form of racialism at all.
Yes sir, and that is why self segregation would be racism. To self segregate is to claim that living amongst other races is not superior to living amongst them. There has to be a reason why someone would think that way, and that reason is a mixture of tribalism and racism. The question you should be asking is if this is a harmful form of racism or if it would be a beneficial form of racism. Myself, I would prefer to live amongst my own people if they were not in the condition they are in today or really were serious about black unity, so I guess I am a racist too. My solution to this was to move to a piece of land far enough from other people of any race to have any major effect on my family's living conditions. My kids are homeschooled, and I shop at Costco. Lol

Why cant the reason simply be you prefer to nurture and educate people of your own race as to their place in history and the world? According to your logic belonging to a different faith would be a form of racism. Why cant it be "I just have a different idea of how we should think"?

Saying we know better than anyone else is not saying we are better or superior people. It just says we have more knowledge about ourselves than "you" do. How is that racism? BTW thats not what I am advocating but if I was I fail to see how that is racist. The whole premise of racism is believing you are inherently superior to another race.

That may be one of the dumbest questions anyone ever asked.
If 'know better' is based in skin color, how can it NOT be racism?

A white democratic racist. This surprises you?

The democratic part or the racist?

The white democrat part. It's common knowledge that black democrats are racist and it shouldn't come as a surprise that white democrats are racist too.

Well, the problem is, the left and the government doesn't want anyone to focus on that simple fact.

They're too busy making Republicans look like racists. By hook, or by crook. That was what they've set out to do since the Tea Party helped the GOP take back the House.

Their only weapons are deception and eventually racism.

Republicans are too busy making themselves look like racist generally speaking. No one makes them say the idiotic things they say. That doesn't mean there are some Democrats that are not racist as well.

How can we say we know what is better for black folks tahn other races without thinking we have a superior knowledge of what is right for us? It's not a bad form of racialism, but it's still racialism as I said earlier. Because in reality, we most likely DO know what is best for us more than whites or other groups.

They derive their political power by turning people against each other. These people are sick in the head and support fascist ideas like silencing people that have different opinions.

Evil

You keep claiming someone is trying to silence you racists. Keep talking so we can laugh at and ID you. I want you to keep talking.

This issue exists as nothing more substantial than grist for the race pimps' mill.

I don't know what ordinary Blacks hope to achieve by pounding this tiresome drum and calling for some kind of punishment for Sterling, who is a very rich man. How much can they really hurt him and why should they bother to try? He has a legal right to speak his mind and the worst they can hope to achieve is to drive him into luxurious and leisurely retirement. How will that serve the interest of racial integration?

Certain social aspects of racial integration can be achieved via the force of law, such as equal access, equal pay, equal rights, etc., but acceptance cannot be forced. Any effort by Blacks to punish some White person for expressing his/her anti-integration views will serve no purpose other than discouraging other racially intolerant Whites to keep their racist feelings to themselves, thus suppressing constructive and honest dialogue, further alienating the two factions and diminishing the potential for gradual acceptance -- such as would occur via the natural course of events.

Sterling has made his feelings toward Blacks known and who has been harmed by the revelation? Is it some big surprise to learn that a prominent White person prefers to avoid social contact with Blacks? Do the race pimps believe that making so much noise about it is going to further the process of inter-racial acceptance? The unfortunate fact is it will serve the diametrically opposite purpose because of the annoying antagonism it incites on both sides of the issue.

American Blacks need to understand there are many Whites who want nothing to do with them. Raising hell about that isn't going to change anything. And there are many Blacks who harbor extreme dislike, even intense hatred, for Whites. The only purpose served by concealing those feelings and deceptively pretending they don't exist is that of perpetuating racial antagonism -- which benefits no one but Al Sharpton and others who feed on this tiresome social phenomenon.

It depends on how you are using the word racialism. I'm Black. I would know better than any white person on how to teach my Black child how to navigate. A white person has not experienced what I have. Thats how I know. We also have history that tells us that white people generally are not knowledgeable enough to even teach us history without changing it around. Again I fail to see how that means racism if that is how you are using the word racialism.

This guy does not deserve a franchise. He is just angry old man, who is out of touch with reality.

the media has become nothing more than snakes who seeks out to stir up hate amongst the people in this country..and so many fall for it

The right has already voiced their condemnation for Sterling. It is only pseudo-conservative USMB members who consider this guy to be a patriot.

It would be refreshing, at the very least, if these pseudos would admit what they are instead of destroying the GOP good name.

Really? Really Mike? Would you consider Donald Sterling to be a "race pimp?"

I don't know what ordinary Blacks hope to achieve by pounding this tiresome drum and calling for some kind of punishment for Sterling, who is a very rich man.
Mike, can you enlighten me as to what are "ordinary Blacks?" As I have no clue what you're referring to and I'm dying to know.

How will that serve the interest of racial integration?
Mike, how has Donald Sterling served the interest of "racial integration?"

will serve no purpose other than discouraging other racially intolerant Whites to keep their racist feelings to themselves, thus suppressing constructive and honest dialogue, further alienating the two factions and diminishing the potential for gradual acceptance -- such as would occur via the natural course of events.
Mike, what do you believe is "constructive and honest dialogue?" and when and where would that take place? What two factions will be further aliented? What caused them to be aliented in the first place? Care to expound? Define the "natural course of events" you mentioned...how exactly, would this come about?

The floor's all yours buddy. I'm all ears.

Well, when white folks say the same things both you and I have been saying, they get called racist, so how can it be racism coming from one group and not another?
