Climatechangevangelistas! Please explain this...

So what caused the global warming millions of years ago? You are ASSUMING that the existence of HUMANS is the cause of today's so-called global warming...then what was the cause then? I'm just asking what was the cause of tropical temperatures in the North Pole with no humans.
Forrest fires can be caused by nature, or caused by man. The effect is still the same. Just because nature can be as destructive as man, doesn't mean we're free to be as destructive as nature.

Oh I agree with you! When we ASSIST nature in destruction of forests obviously we are to be blamed.
Environmentalists have over the years fought what the following article describes:

A Century of Fire Suppression Is Why California Is in Flames

For more than a century, people have been snuffing out fire across the West.
As a result, forests, grasslands and shrub lands like those in the Bouverie reserve are overgrown.
That means that, when fire escapes suppression, it’s more destructive. It kills more trees, torches more homes and sends far more carbon into the atmosphere, contributing to climate change.
“We have 100 years of fire suppression that has led to this huge accumulation of fuel loads, just dead and downed debris from trees and plant material in our forests, and in our woodlands,” says Berleman. “As a result of that, our forests and woodlands are not healthy, and we’re getting more catastrophic fire behavior than we would otherwise.”

The same can be said about man interfering with any system. Just look at disease. If we didn't interfere with the global pandemic, we would have had population control like after the black plague. Not even world wars were as effective a means of population control.

I guess that's why people don't inhabit the Sahara desert in the numbers they did when it was a green oasis?
FACTS are hard to destroy!
The Sahara Desert is considered one of the harshest climates on the planet, due to its variable high temperatures during the day and the rapid and sometimes significant cooling in the night. The Sahara is the largest desert on the planet. The existing arid state of the Sahara has been a feature of the desert since approximately 3000 B.C.E.

True. Darwin's "survival of the fittest" at it's most meaningful when it comes to population control. That is also brought out when you compare Fl to NY COVID deaths. Even though FL has a higher percentage of people MOST susceptible to COVID and is nearly 1/3 larger than NY, NY has nearly 10,000 more deaths. Why is that according to Darwin? Hmmm... could be FL is less restrictive i.e. doing what you said less involved!

A large, well established, Canadian lumber camp advertised that they were looking for a good Lumberjack. The very next day, Avrumel a skinny little yid showed up at the camp with his axe, and knocked on the head lumberjacks' door.

The head lumberjack took one look at little Avrumel and told him to leave. "Just give me a chance to show you what I can do," said Avrumel.

"Okay, see that giant redwood over there?" said the lumberjack. "Take your axe and go cut it down."

Avrumel headed for the tree, and in five minutes he was back knocking on the lumberjack's door.

"I cut the tree down," said Avrumel. The lumberjack couldn't believe his eyes and said, "Where did you get the skill to chop down trees like that?"

"In the Sahara Forest," replied little Avrumel.

"You mean the Sahara Desert," said the lumberjack.

Avrumel laughed and answered back, "Oh sure, that's what they call it now!"

Actually, you pointed out the effects of global warming, whether naturally occurring or manmade.

Between 57 and 55 million years ago, the geological epoch known as the Paleocene ended and gave way to the Eocene. At that time, the atmosphere was essentially flooded by the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide, with concentration levels reaching 1,400 ppm to 4,000 ppm.

Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum (PETM), also called Initial Eocene Thermal Maximum (IETM), a short interval of maximum temperature lasting approximately 100,000 years during the late Paleocene and early Eocene epochs (roughly 55 million years ago).
And there you go....

Actually Darwin seems to be taking his revenge. Deaths in Florida are now on pace to pass those in New York.

Florida has nearly 4 times as many new cases as New York. +21,392 per day.

Your retarded politician is the idiot who wants control.

July 11, 2020
The Texas Republican congressman Louie Gohmert has asked a senior U.S. government official if changing the moon’s orbit around the Earth, or the Earth’s orbit around the sun, might be a solution for climate change.

Bizarrely, the question was not posed to anyone from NASA or even the Pentagon. Instead it was asked of a senior forestry service official during a House natural resources committee hearing on Tuesday.

“I understand from what’s been testified to the Forest Service and the BLM [Bureau of Land Management], you want very much to work on the issue of climate change,” Gohmert said, adding that a past director of NASA had once told him that orbits of the moon and the Earth were indeed changing.

“We know there’s been significant solar flare activity, and so… is there anything that the National Forest Service or BLM can do to change the course of the moon’s orbit, or the Earth’s orbit around the sun?” Gohmert asked. “Obviously that would have profound effects on our climate.”
Check your reading comprehension skills, moron.

The Real answer is probably that we have been in an ice age for sometime and we are just now coming out of it and the Earth is going back to where it belongs.

We are in the middle of an ice age right now. But the scientist are only talking about the generally stable climate of this current inter glacial period, not 50 million years ago.

Actually check your politicians, who seem so dumb, they think the forest service can change the moons orbit.

The term "climate change" is a misnomer. Of course the climate changes as the seasons change. In geological terms we may still be coming out of an ice age. The current global warming dialog is proof that the issue is more like a religion. They can't explain why the downpour in NY is connected to carbon emissions but you have to have faith that it does.

Actually, the Sahara was green during the Holocene climatic optimum, when the Earth's climate was warmer than it is today.
Right and people thrived there because it wasn't as hot as the Sahara is today. At any given time period you are going to have hot, temperate, and cold climates. The fact is that humans didnt appear until the climate became stable. Now the climate is becoming unstable due to anthropogenic reasons.

Actually they can. Hell even I can and I'm not even a scientist. The warm air holds more moisture and creates stronger storms with more water in it.
Warm water, like the Gulf of Mexico, causes hurricanes like Ida to strengthen before they hit land. The warmer the water, the more energy it feeds into he storm.

Abnormally warm Gulf of Mexico could intensify the upcoming tornado and hurricane seasons

The last time Gulf of Mexico waters were similarly warm in 2017, it coincided with an above-average tornado season through the spring, and then Category 4 Hurricane Harvey struck the Texas Gulf Coast at the end of summer.

If it is admitted that warming is occurring, then it must be admitted that current levels of contribution to it are a very poor approach. Seeing as such a vast amount of that contribution is also waste and excess, it is pure folly to continue as we are. Extremists on both sides of the issue only make sensible measures more difficult. As with every other binary, divisive issue, clear profiteers are evident, and they are our enemies.
