Prepare for a very cold winter

Still waiting for significant snow in SE Michigan 😂

Another mild winter and I LOVE it
Michigan averages just over 70 inches of snow per winter, but the Upper Peninsula's average dwarfs that to the tune of 115 inches per year. The New Year's Monster Snowstorm of 1999 is the biggest snowstorm to rock Michigan in recent memory. During the storm, between 18 and 24 inches fell across the state, snaring traffic, collapsing roofs on businesses, and forcing schools to close for two weeks.

Michigan offers a unique lineup of winter activities. There's the Lucy Hill Naturbahn Luge ($30 for adults through Upper Peninsula Luge Club), the only natural luge track in the country. The track is hemmed in by wooden boards and snowbanks, and you use a wooden sled with metal runners attached to it. You can also get lessons. If the luge isn't quite your speed, try ice climbing — the Upper Peninsula is renowned for its amazing, very climbable frozen waterfalls at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Both beginners and advanced climbers are welcome to the Michigan Ice Fest, held every February.

I've been looking at my GRASS all winter. I love it!

OK, there is more CO2 today in the atmosphere than in past years.

Polar vortex could bring deadly winter storms and coldest weather in more than a decade to US

By Patrick Pester
published yesterday
An expanding polar vortex is expected to lower temperatures across the eastern half of the U.S., with the potential for record-breaking cold in January.

I will later post the link needed.

I have long argued that this small of a temperature does not matter. There is no reason or purpose to get alarmed. Dr. Richard Lindzen has said this over and over to audiences.

We have had recent very cold winters. CA has had a tough time dealing with the snow. Reservoirs are full.
Think as to why we have had cold winters these past Winters.

From article:

Dangerously cold weather from the Arctic is forecast to hit the U.S. next week, with potentially record-breaking low temperatures expected in some areas, analysts warn.

The Arctic blast is being driven by large-scale pressure changes and a shift in the polar vortex, according to the weather website Severe Weather Europe. It will bring the coldest air of the season so far to millions of Americans, with dangerous wind chills likely across the southeastern U.S., while much of the Appalachians, Ohio Valley, Mid-Atlantic, Great Lakes and northeastern U.S. could see heavy snowfall and significant travel disruptions, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures are expected to drop as low as 30 degrees Fahrenheit (17 degrees Celsius) below the average for this time of year, with the potential for sub-freezing temperatures as far south as the Gulf Coast and Florida Peninsula. It could get so cold in Florida that iguanas fall out of the trees, according to CNN Weather. Iguanas go into a temporary state of paralysis when they get too cold, so they can't hold onto tree branches.

So all your fear of global warming can go back to sleep.
Will you need to purchase winter gear, clothes, shovels, snow blowers and more?
This didn't age well. While we are always prepared for nasty winters here, the boogie man didn't show up this winter. One of the mildest in NE WA in my experience.

Why not study where the winter was extremely cold?

Winter was mild, little snow where I live in southern Wisconsin. Average snowfall is 51 inches, only 21 inches has fallen this season, and that melted fast. No real heavy snows fell, most an inch or two.

Of course and now I think you understand more about Climate. See in many parts of the USA they suffered terrible snow falls. Same when you read reports of hot days. Other areas are cool. PS, none of this proves Man causes climate.

What do you call a terrible snowfall? An inch in FL? LMAO. It is called WEATHER. It fluctuates constantly and the climate change narrative is nothing but man's arrogance showing its ugly head.
During the 2024-2025 winter, record snowfalls occurred in the Gulf Coast region, particularly in Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida, with cities like Chalmette, New Orleans, Mobile, and Pensacola experiencing historic snow totals.

Democrats give themselves away when they suggest answers to me. I know they are simply bullshitting.

You demonstrated that the claims made by Democrats about climate actually are not about climate but just weather. Thanks for your help.

Sure, they got a dusting of snow that was gone by noon. SMFH. I saw a half inch of snow in Las Cruces, NM in 1962--unprecedented. This photo was taken in Bel Air (LA) 1949. It's WEATHER.

Democrats need to stop saying climate and say weather, as you and I do.
