Do you understand how the relationship between supply and demand affect price? Reducing demand relative to supply causes prices to decrease. Reducing supply relative to demand causes prices to increase. Conservation isn't hoarding. Conservation reduces demand relative to supply and thus causes prices to decrease.

I think hoarding in this case is appropriate government policy ... instead of just foolishly burning these precious fossil fuels, we should make plastic out of it ... and then burn it ...

Why wouldn't you issue a 30-year mortgage if any bad things are still 100 years off? ... a better question is why do you think buildings we build today will last 100 years ... go look at track housing from the 1970's ... see? ... those mortgages got paid off ... so it's safe to write mortgages in these areas ...

Sometime ago, 80's - 90's, the weather patterns for the past 150 years were examined and they pointed to weather patterns being more violent than not. So hurricanes, tornados and floods are part of that.
