"Clean" Thread Policy

Based on the rules setup on this site, a miniscule amount of threads started by rightwingers are up to snuff.

But, that should be no surprise to anyone.

These rules basically nuke the whole site let's be real

Only mod discretion that is stopping them from just purging all of it

Having a clean descriptive title and oposts makes us look less crazy and rabidly stupid to the "normal people". What happens in the REST of the thread -- has not changed a wit..

It's bad enough that many posters REACT to JUST the title and never read the OPost. If the brawl starts THERE -- there's no reason to host a discussion board.. We want the thread creator to open the discussion cleanly.

Hell no. We dont write the titles. We expect adult members to get it right. And that determination is relative easy.. No flaming. No political knicknames like "China Joe" or "Putin's Bitch". No "pussyfication" (which I just demoted to Badlands a couple days ago) .. Just the STORY or ISSUE. It aint difficult at all.. HUNDREDS of examples per day of folks doing this without moderation actions.

Apparently from the actions I've seen 85% of the active member GET THIS WITH NO PROBLEM. And about 5% insist on JUICING the titles because they are here to PROVOKE -- not discuss. And most of that 5% ADMIT IT.

Is it TOO DIFFICULT for you to post a topic that interests you WITHOUT "juicing it" to PROVOKE confrontation? You can't wait until Page 2 to sound like rabid tribal warrior or something?

If members get this wrong we give the newbies opportunity to correct title and Opost or give us the changes to edit in. We extended that courtesy to "old timers" for MONTHS, but everyone should be aware by now..

We rarely CLOSE these unless they are duplicate topics. They just get moved to a forum where moderation doesn't CARE about topical discussion or many rules. It's not censorship. The Taunting forums are there for folks who dont LIKE TOPICAL DISCUSSION..

We cater to all interests, quirks, and disabilities... LOL..,

Actually, there's sound structural reasons for "clean titles".. With all the political knicknames and cutesy titles, NOBODY could find existing threads by searching. Not even mod staff. So folks were rightly ticked about our insistence on "not duplicating topics".

As long as we were gonna ask for DESCRIPTIVE titles to make things run better in search, we decided to ask for things that DONT make our listings look like Mental Asylum Daily Meltdown or the article listings at CNN.. LOL.....
