Much like the mortgage modification program. Sure, you are allowed to modify and pay less a month for a lower amount mortgage. But you want to sell or refinance? The payoff is the original amount less what you have paid.
And I love the "forbearance" programs. People tend t believe that when the forbearance is lifted, they just move on from there. No, they don't. They have a lump sum due after forbearance is ended.

People need to realize....there is no such thing as a free lunch

Based on what I've read, the current bipartisan bill has nothing for the average Joe as far as a direct payment... but on the upside, it looks like Tom Brady's company, and others like it, could apply for another $1,000,000.00...
