Can Punch the Monkey Be Something We Can All Can Root For?

One more. Todd effin Rundgren. :puke:
I never heard this before. Sorry dude, released in 78. I knew this wasn't 80's. You trying to trick me?

He's known for his 1971 album Something/Anything?, which features the well-known songs "I Saw The Light" and "Hello It's Me".

Now these are good songs!!! It almost makes me want to cry. Reminds me of my childhood. OMG thank you for remind me of this guy. I would never have known his name.

I may have been in error. It was T. Rex who annoyed me with Bang a Gong.

I think it depends on context.

I call my little nieces and nephews "monkeys" all the time.

But if I said that about a black kid, their parents would want to kick my ass and rightfully so.
Rightfully?

Wow. You’re really a virtue-signaling *****.

Howard Cosell once got in deep trouble for saying about a fast football player — who, by chance, was a black man — “look at that little monkey go!”

And that was probably about five decades ago.

I think the monkeys know what they're doing it's tribe is rejecting it .... theirs something wrong with it

It probably came out as trans started crying how f****** opressed it was because capitalism

F punch the monkey. Put it out of its f-ing misery already!

You make as terrific point. What does the tribe know that these whining animal lovers don't?

Cindy Lauper

Phil Collins

Now they are but back then they seemed very cheesy to me. I get it now. But now I hear that shit and it's my childhood. I can't help but love it. It's like xmas music in my ears.

What about Tears for Fears? Everybody wants to rule the world. I thought it was so lame back then. Now, LOVE IT.

I love the Talking Heads, in a cultish like way, and I have loved them since I was a teen. A lot of that music back then did not appeal to me so much. I was into thrash metal around that time. But I still loved Talking Heads, and still do.

How about the Cure? I hated this when it was new but now I love it!

If you liked Thrash Metal I bet you liked the Cult

I didn't like them either back then but now I think it's good stuff.
