"Ratings" are not any kind of "grip on information", shortpants. They're a count of the number of eyeballs watching that can be sold to an advertiser. And that's the grand sum total of all they are. They have absolutely ZERO to do with any kind of content.

Friggin' fake wrestling gets "ratings". Friggin' onstage paternity tests get "ratings". Friggin' naked people left on an island to eat bugs gets "ratings". Do ANY of those hold any kind of "grip on information"?

Fox, at least its news division, sees the danger that these conspiracy theories pose to the Republic. However , Newsmax and OAN do not. It is about the Benjamins. Expect more conspiracy theories. Reportedly, there will be at least one major news source coming into fruition soon to reflect the views of the right-leaning viewpoints. FOX has it's share of both sides represented, but like most talking heads are quite obvious about their individual political biases. We'll get more of the same before a better alternative achieves true independent clarity...better than AP, CSM, or any of the other ten or so outlets claiming "independent presentation of the news without partisanship".

Exciting times in which we live, regardless of how one evaluates 2020...soon to be 2021...whoa! Another year down so quickly, quicker than many would like, while not quick enough for just as many. Here's to making every single day of 2021 count.
