CBS Bans Talarico From Late Night, Tries to Muzzle Colbert..Doesnt work

any hate there?

Yes
The Democrats are religious bigots.
They either hate Christians, or they hate other Christians.
In the case of Talarico and Colbert hate the evangelical Christians.
They use the contrived term White Christian Nationalist to incite Far Left hate and fear.

Yes, there is a FCC rule, called the Equal Time Rule, CBS didn't want to violate the law.....but lawless Colbert and the Demafascsit don't care about the law.

James Talarico is unfit for office if he went along with Colbert attempt to violate Federal law
the rule doesnt apply to entertainment shows.

Youre wrong there pal. Ask anyone.

The Fairness Doctrine was eliminated in 1987. The FCC’s equal time rule (47 U.S.C. § 315) only applies to legally qualified candidates appearing on broadcast stations. It explicitly exempts bona fide newscasts, news interviews, documentaries, and on-the-spot news events.

Colbert and The View and a whole bunch are exempted because they are not bona fide newscasts.

None of those conditions cover late night talk shows.

It doesn't exempt them you idiot. read what you post next time.

Yes it does, it refers to anything on a broadcast station. I have provided a link to the law now twice, but feel free to show us what exception applies to "entertainment shows"

He talks about it and has James on his show but broadcasts it only on youtube, not over the air.
I think you are beginning to understand now. In order to maintain your FCC broadcasting license, you cannot be overly biased over free public airwaves. What took you so long to understand that?

I thought CBS was a privately owned company?

Why is it my business what shows they put on the air or what guests they have on the show?

Isn't Colbert their employee?

Because of the equal time rule and even though CBS is a private company, they are licensed for over the air transmission which is subject to FCC rules.

Cabel and Internet information services aren't under the same rules which is why he could post the video to YouTube.

If Colbert were to have Talirico and also an opponent of tallerico's which would be Jasmine Crockett, it would create two problems for him and for CBS.

1) It would clearly be a political show, at least that episode. in order for c b s to get away with the constant broadcast trump derangement they have to pretend that it's all in good fun. "Why you mad over a comedy show bro?" hosting a debate between legit candidates would damage that argument.

2) It would be difficult for them to then not have ken paxton and john cornyn, now vying for the republican nomination.

I watched some of the interview he did with Talirico. No reasonable person could see that. And not know that he is promoting this particular candidate.

The Democrats need someone they can present as relatively normal. This unknown young politician will be able to do that. so long as he only does softball interviews with people like the view and colbert.

So long as he never has to answer questions like, "what is a woman?" and "should men play in girls' sports?" "Should an illegal alien arrested for a violent crime be deported." If that happens, he would have to choose between giving a normal answer and giving the Democrat answer.

The democrats are dreaming of winning a texas senate seat. That is barely possible with tallerico but complete fantasy if the nominee is jasmine crockett. That is why colbert wants to push Talirico.

Simply put, CBS and Colbert chose to favor the white man over the black woman.

As expected.

Airing the interview would not have violated the law.

But they would have been required to allow other legally recognized candidates the same amount of air time in a similar time slot * * IF * * the candidate requested it within one week of the original evant being aired.

I think you left out a "not" CG.

Colbert isn't exempted because he''s not a bona fide new show, he's an entertainment show.

Colbert explains that he was supposed to have James Talarico on his show but CBS forbade him from having James on . The told him they didnt even want him talking about it. So what does Colbert do? He talks about it and has James on his show but broadcasts it only on youtube, not over the air.

CBS and its right wing mission is scared to death of Trump and his minions because they are worried about losing Texas. Not sure if they will or wont but I do know they are scared.

Correct and CBS gave Colbert that option but he refused because he didn’t want to get the Republican opposition any time
