She has attached herself to McCarthy in order to influence him, so she's pissed when other Republicans don't want to play ball with him. Back during her 60 Minutes interview she was asked about the space lasers and defended her former views by saying that she "was allowed to believe" those things as if it was someone else's responsibility to set her straight.
