In general, in the USSR, the quality of industrial products was even several times worse than what the Chinese are now producing. There were exceptions, for example the measuring tools were normal. Un fettered capitalism is a disaster. However regulated capitalism gave us the wonders of the 20th century in America. Sadly it seems the left hate the idea of people being succesful and the right hates the idea that a worker should be paid a fair days pay for a fair days work in a safe and healthy environment.

If we have to choose between to much of one or the other I'll take too much capitalism as long as I can keep my freedoms to criticize. The other option means no freedoms at all. I did quite well under regulated captialism as did anyone else who worked hard and applied themselves to become better. These machines everyone clicks and swipes with their fingers 24/7 exist because of capitalism.
