Cantor says he's concerned by 'mobs' at 'Occupy Wall Street'

If your heroes in Washington had been doing their jobs right, this 'mess' would not have happened.

Blame the fucking politicians, moron. It was their responsibility to regulation these bastards.

twit.

I loved this tidbit from the link;

"Some in Washington have actually condoned the pitting of Americans against Americans," Cantor said of the protests after accusing the Obama administration's policies of being an "assault on many of our nation's bedrock principles."

Cantor is calling himself and the tea-party out!

That's funny right there I don't care who you are...of course if you’re a tea-party apologists you won't think it’s quite as funny as I do but the irony is so glaring it's hard to overlook.

I find your post entertainingly ironic too.

Genuine question.... Do you make an effort to be this thick or does it come naturally?

'Rules for Radicals.' Read it,learn it. Saul Alinsky wrote this book instructing his fellow Marxists on "Community Organizing." Divide & Conquer is the key ingredient in Alinsky's philosophy. Obama and most Democrats are loyal Alinsky disciples. They are now ramping up the bitter division to coincide with the coming Election. It really is classic Community Organizing. I guess we'll see if the people buy it this time around.

Tell you what makes me laugh.... they get seriously pissed off when the right use those tactics against them.

It's good that you can laugh at yourself.

Anybody gonna tell us what you plan to replace capitalism with?

The point is we don't want it replaced, we want it regulated. So Wall Street bonuses don't go up, while we still continue to bleed jobs.
When we started deregulating in the 80's, we started loosing our manufacturing jobs while the top 1% started to make the gap even larger. We are sick of living in a country where we attack the middle class, while letting the 1% do as they please. When will you guys stop attacking main street, how about you answer that?
Government regulates too much to the point of choking the system off.

Obama and the Democrats can't take a hint. Right now the golden goose ceased laying golden eggs and has produced shit. Get the hands off it's neck already.

Taking the hands off the neck of our banking system didn't work out too well, did it? And both the Dems and the GOP were responsible for that.

The reason we have lost our manufacturing base is because our elected officials (democrat and republican alike) have given out favored nation status to half the third world countries on earth. This not only destroys American jobs it also leaves us strategically incredibly vulnerable because if an enemy were to disrupt shipping by gaining even so much as partial control of the pacific, the American economy would collapse completely overnight because such a huge percentage of the goods we buy and sell are manufactured in Asia.
Since Wall Street has lobbied for every single piece of favored nation legislation, they are in fact directly responsible for destroying the American industrial base.
Furthermore it is the corporations on Wall Street and the billionaires that make money from them that are funding the endless attacks on labor unions.
Labor unions are critical because they negotiate higher wages for persons in the lower 50% of earners. This group also represents 50% of consumers and their budgets are constrained (meaning there are already products they would buy, but don’t because they don’t have the money) so any increase in their wages results in a direct increase in consumer spending, just as any decrease in their wages causes an immediate decrease in consumer spending. Because consumer spending represents 70% of all economic activity, decreasing the wages of the lower 50% of earners hurts the economy, whereas increasing their wages helps it.
As a result, what Wall Street and the republicans will do by destroying labor unions is hurt the entire economy, not just the wages of those individuals. As a result Wall Street executives are rightly criticized by unions and protesters alike.

And the left did not do that to the TEA Party Protests?

How many people were arrested - on average - at any TEA Party protest?

You're funny. I'll give you that.

funny how there weren't any arrests until jpmorganchase gave a 4.6 million dollar donation to the NYPD...

i think that's funny. don't you?
It could also be a sign that the "police" state is okay with rightwing protestors but not leftwing protestors.

They do tend to arrest college students protesting more than any other protest group.

True. And I am a backer of erraticating the Federal Reserve.

Great question. I'm very interested in hearing Socialist/Progressive thoughts on it. They do claim to have all the answers. I'll stay tuned.

You crazy far righties! You'll say anything for a laugh  and that's why I like you peeps so much! :eusa_angel:
Your "Socialist" fear is totally unwarranted. I'm afraid you'd go into a complete shock if you ever met a real "Socialist." Many people you are labeling Socialist have absolutely no problem with capitalism. Let's get real here, capitalism the best form of economic system. Capitalism is at it's best when all classes participate. America had it's most prosperous era when the Middle Class was growing and economically strong. People you are labeling as "Socialist" are from Main Street America, the segment of the population that fact after fact shows, has been losing out in the economy. 30 Years of flat wages and watching the wealth gap grow to record levels does effect people.

Mobs, heh? To his demise they are constituents.

House GOP Leader Eric Cantor decried the protests that started several weeks ago in New York, and have spread to major cities across the country. Cantor said in a speech at the Values Voters Summit in Washington that he is "increasingly concerned" about the "growing mobs" represented at the protests.

First Read - Cantor says he's concerned by 'mobs' at 'Occupy Wall Street'

While I STILL have no idea what the "Occupy Wallstreet" folks want, I cannot see how they are any different than any of the Tea Party events that Cantor and his fellow Republicans loved. Do they even care how hypocritical they sound anymore?

Uh---:cuckoo:: Tea Partiers don't sleep in parks--or get arrested.

They are lazy and lack the necessary dedication?

There aren't many real socialists here.

But... but... but.... I thought these 'spontaneous' protestors were not 'left wing'? Was that a lie?
