Can There Be Too Much Capitalism?

The only way there could be to much Capitalisms is the something for nothings and the you owe mes are forced to work for their own way. If they do they will say makin us work for our own way is nothing but slavery and everyone who disagree will be a racist. The democRat way.

What if you find that based on Federal taxes, state taxes, local taxes, sales tax, parking fees, license fees, speed cameras, hidden taxes of all sorts......
....and the insidious tax, inflation.....

....amounted to more than half your income at least?

Have we reached slavery????

Or simply extortion???

Capitalism is "viable" because it functions perfectly under corrupt officials, banksters and degenerates – only sales markets are needed. Socialism is "not viable", because it requires the eradication of these phenomena, needs clean personnel and the initiative of everyone.
What's incredible about capitalism is that many of its ardent defenders literally don't know what it is. They think it is just "trade" or "freedom". Capitalism is when some people owns everything necessary to produce modern society, and we have to sell our labor to them to live.

Сonsidering this was only 70 pgs, this is one of the best мarxist resources I've ever read. It's succinct, yet full of information & insight that really lays out how class conflict & a materialist view of history play into мarxist outlook.

1.Well…what are the choices?
There was one of the earliest economies, where folks traded the only thing they had….themselves. That was slavery.

We moved on to feudalism…”peasants (villeins or serfs) were obliged to live on their lord's land and give him homage, labor, and a share of the produce, notionally in exchange for military protection.”

The growth of freedom, individualism, gave rise to capitalism.

2. “The results were inescapable: nearly everywhere on the planet men and women lived longer, ate better, enjoyed more leisure, and had access to resources and delights that previously had been reserved for the very rich and powerful, or more commonly, had been utterly unknown.” Joel Mokyr, “A Culture of Growth: Origins of the Modern Economy” http://assets.press.princeton.edu/chapters/s10835.pdf

As politics is part of every endeavor, I would be remiss if I didn’t point out that the growth of government, and taxation, what we call Progressivism, is a return to earlier times, inching towards slavery.

3. But, as per the title….has capitalism been over-extended? Outlived its usefulness???? Is there too much??

Only in the same respect as a famous man said about winning: “We’re gonna’ win so much that you will say, please, please, Mr. President….stop!! We’re tired of winning!!!!!”
Should we be tired of capitalism????

No….there isn’t too much capitalism, wealth, or profit. But too many have seen this as the be-all-and-end-all, and forgotten this:
1 Timothy 6:10 to be: For the love of money is the root of all of evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

4.As a result, we have President who has succumbed to that love, to the point of selling out his home nation. And there are many such elites who would bind themselves to alien nations and alien ideology, if it provided wealth.

“…Trump saw decoupling the United States from China as a way to dismantle the oligarchy that hated him and sent American jobs abroad, he couldn’t follow through on the vision. After correctly identifying the sources of corruption in our elite, the reasons for the impoverishment of the middle classes, and the threats foreign and domestic to our peace, …

China was the source of the China Class’ power, the novel coronavirus coming out of Wuhan became the platform for its coup de grace. So Americans became prey to an anti-democratic elite that used the coronavirus to demoralize them; lay waste to small businesses; leave them vulnerable to rioters who are free to steal, burn, and kill; keep their children from school and the dying from the last embrace of their loved ones; and desecrate American history, culture, and society; and defame the country as systemically racist in order to furnish the predicate for why ordinary Americans in fact deserved the hell that the elite’s private and public sector proxies had already prepared for them.

For nearly a year, American officials have purposefully laid waste to our economy and society for the sole purpose of arrogating more power to themselves while the Chinese economy has gained on America’s. China’s lockdowns had nothing to do with the difference in outcomes. Lockdowns are not public health measures to reduce the spread of a virus. They are political instruments, which is why Democratic Party officials who put their constituents under repeated lengthy lockdowns, …” The Thirty Tyrants

Too much capitalism????

No…..too little integrity.

You go to a lot of trouble to say nothing.
Shorten it by simply saying " I hate democrats".

We all know where you're coming from. I can read you like a book, a comic in fact.

There can certainly be 'too much capital'. Look at the ridiculous P/E ratios and the essentially negative interest rates we get with over 80% of all profits and gains going to a tiny percentage of the population, who ran out of places to put most of it decades ago.

Too much capitalism is like saying too many choices, too many new innovations, too many improved medical procedures and drugs, too many people no longer living in poverty or at least better than they were. Too much capitalism is like saying too many rich people and too many in the middle and upper income brackets and too many lower income people having a higher standard of living than anywhere else in the world. Too much capitalism is like saying too much prosperity; it's a really stupid thing to say.

But I'm glad you agree this isn't too much capitalism.

Actually, that really is not enough gov't regulation rather than an indictment of capitalism. Do you think children were not used and abused under every other type of economy? How do you think children are doing in Russian, China, Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela? Let me clue you in: kids in capitalist countries are doing WAY better than those living elsewhere.

Untamed capitalism is much like fascism: In fascism, the government murders millions of people, in capitalism, the "invisible hand of the market" does the same.

The only thing that can tame government are free markets, and the only thing that can tame capitalism is government. Either of them is disgusting, it's all about the right balance.

Clearly you need a primer on crony capitalism, which is another term for Fascism, the economic program of Mussolini, that Franklin Roosevelt infected America with (sorry to end a sentence with a preposition).

Franklin Roosevelt was inspired by the power of the dictators. He took Mussolini’s Fascist economic system, and imposed it on America.

His economic adviser, Rex Tugwell was opposed to any private business not controlled by the government. General Hugh Johnson was working with Tugwell on a bill to create the NRA, and gave Francis Perkins the book by Rafaello Viglione, "The Corporate State," in which the neat Italian system of dictatorship for the benefit of the people was glowingly described." Francis Perkins, "The Roosevelt I Knew." The NRA was copied from Mussolini's corporative system. p.47

Perkins questioned whether Johnson 'really understood the democratic process..." New Dealers had no problem with the fascist nature of their plans. They actually imprisoned a NJ tailor who charged a nickel below the price FDR set.

Absolute, total 100% bullshit. Fascist is total gov't control, capitalism is the exact opposite. The "invisible hand of the market" doesn't murder anybody, that is total bullshit. If managed by competent gov't, capitalism can and has lifted billions of people out of poverty around the world and improved their quality of life. No other economic model comes close to creating the prosperity that capitalism does.
