The first thing a person needs to do is to find within himself the ability to understand that humans are flawed (by nature) and that means that in every person there is good and bad, and that means accepting as a fact of life that has never changed and will never change. The second thing that is needed is to have the ability to care/love, meaning that giving first before you can ever receive any care/love back. Few people have that, given most people only think about themselves, and do not care about others.I like people. I respect them. I admire them. Iām proud of how far weāve come, through adversity, impossible odds, and countless challenges. But sometimes it feels like we fail to see our connectedness. Weāve learned to fear, distrust, and even hate each other. The thing is, your enemy isnāt inherently evil. They just grew up in and understood a different world than you did. So I wonder, can this ever be repaired? Are we doomed to division and hatred, or is it still possible for humanity to unite, to discover our shared bonds?
The lack of ability to understand what life is about and then not understanding that to receive you must first give, brings about hate, resentment and disunity.
Why is it so difficult to understand that every person is different? Different genes, different sexes, different upbringing, different experiences, different education, different cultures, and different ways of feeling things!
The answer if easy, if and when you want to find it. It takes selflessness, research, and acceptance of what life is all about.
In that way, unity comes even when you are totally different than the other person. You never have to do or think the way the other person does or thinks but it does open the door to accomplishing more across the board (for yourself, for those around you, for your neighborhood, for your community, for your State, and for the nation.
All it takes is to open your eyes outward and not just keep them looking inward.
Why can't most people do that?
