• …can reduce this local supply.

2. Tough laws can shrink the in-state illegal market

• fewer straw purchases

• fewer high-volume “bad apple” gun dealers

This reduces the total number of guns available for criminals inside the state, even if some still flow in from elsewhere.

3. Guns smuggled from other states slow down crime, but don’t fully replace local supply

Moving guns across state lines requires:

• money

• a contact
• some risk of federal charges

Oregon and Washington are as anti-gun as California. In spite of being an open carry state, Nevada has laws almost as restrictive as California. Only Arizona is gun friendly but still requires ID and a waiting period for any gun purchases for people lacking an Arizona CCW permit. Having one, I can walk into a gun store and walk out with any non fully automatic firearm as soon as I pay for it. Non residents can’t purchase firearms in ANY state. The USA doesn’t have a gun problem, it has a criminal problem. That is what you are developing even to the point you are trying to ban knives.

In the States, the media doesn't really cover multiple victims shootings between minority groups in Democrat ghettos as "mass shootings" happening to random people or with a white perp.
