Burmese python news.

I didn't even know they could read, much less publish their own reports.
They see problems as opportunities for further study, not as problems to be solved.

Then you better hope they keep studying...

"Because the Burmese python has spread throughout southern Florida, eradication of the population across the landscape is not possible with existing tools, the publication states. However, researchers at USGS and partner institutions are exploring potential novel techniques such as genetic biocontrol, that may one day provide an avenue towards larger-scale population suppression"
They will think up more "existing tools" that don't work. The problem is that any tool or method of eradicating the snakes must be "humane". This ensures failure. Worse, they know this and embrace it. In many ways these people are worse than the snakes.

Uh, what? Do you often make sweeping judgments about things you know less than nothing about? Weird.
Your post assumes that you know more about it than I do. If what you know is what you've read, you know all about the problem but nothing about the/a solution.
