As tone deaf as the Dylan Mulvaney fiasco was in the first place, AB CEO seems to be rather oblivious to the current situation which continues to hurt Bud distributors, who had no say or input at all into the advertisement

In an interview with FT, "Anheuser-Busch CEO Michel Doukeris told the Financial Times in a recent interview that the boycott was driven by “misinformation and confusion” circulating on social media. Doukeris insisted that Mulvaney’s involvement wasn’t part of an official Bud Light marketing campaign. “It was one post. It was not an advertisement,” Doukeris told the outlet. The Anheuser-Busch chief said that viral videos of billboards with images of the Bud Light can with Mulvaney’s face on it inserted “electronically” had been circulated on social media and viewed by millions of people. “It was just like pure social media creation,” Doukeris said, insisting that it “had nothing to do with Bud Light.” Doukeris said it was never Bud Light’s intention to mass-produce cans with Mulvaney’s likeness on them for sale to the broader public."

Instead of just admitting they screwed up, he's saying, "who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?"

He can't, because then the left will go after him even harder, and those people play for keeps, unlike most on the right.

Instead he did the most stupid thing which was not pick a side. Either embrace the bigots or don't, there's money on either side, there's nothing in the middle but finger waging from both sides. This guy's a dope.

The biggest bigots are you idiots, you want forced acceptance, not tolerance, and woe to anyone who doesn't toe the party line.

The company should be better educated about their target market, but the responses from some are absurd.

A guy in Ontario apparently assaulted someone simply because he purchased Bud Light. This is the logic we are now embracing in some corners.

You don't want to drink the beer and support it? Fine. Leave others be though.

Memo to Bud light staff:

Please consider the lightweight puzzy division of rightists when making ads for straight cis-gender males turns out they are like snowflakes from Hell.
In that train of thought on the males who live with abusive machismo, which also have a percentage of males who follow that code as to e part of the clique, you need to take from them as they have gotten away with phukn with people and are part and parcel of causing suicides and destruction of other men and affecting their families. There are many who have gotten away with this and are retired and still may be employed and are shutting up. This does not include people with their arrogant insulting comments that still exists in employment and living.

They (AB) are trying not to offend gays and transmutants

It was only one can of Bud Light

What gave the can legs was the stupid Harvard educated social justice warrior who did an interview where she trashed and insulted Bud Light customers

She should be fired in disgrace

Then and only then can AB start to repair the damage that the Dylan Mulvaney fiasco has caused

The inane opinions of random internet keyboard jockeys aside, it is clear that a company can be hurt, badly, when enough people simply stop buying their product in response to stupid marketing moves. It seems that the liberal utopia where companies can make SJW approved decisions in a vacuum with no consequences just doesn't exist. Apparently, catering to a miniscule portion of the population at the expense of large percentages of that population isn't really a good idea.
