When you are a criminal doing a drive by shooting....do you feel a little silly doing a drive by shooting on the back of a moped? Especially if you don't hit anything? I guess since all the other criminals shooting at other criminals over there also have to use mopeds......they all kind of feel a little silly as they shoot and miss each other...
Now....if they did it from the back of a Harley...now that might increase the respect.......

Two-men on a “moped-style motorbike” opened fire on a terraced house on Galsworthy Avenue around 12.40 a.m. on Friday morning in what is believed to be a “targeted attack”, the Manchester Evening News reports.
“It’s still early in our investigation, and we are working to establish the full circumstances of the incident, but it appears this was a targeted attack,” commented Detective Chief Inspector Richard Ennis.
