Bringing manufacturing back to the US, but no jobs for the working class

Same reason interns don’t get paid. They are there more for the learning experience.
Paying them below minimum wage would be an insult. The quest for cheap labor is not necessary. Make the owner pay.

Not really.

For every one retired person, you need three workers.

A person who is 70 today and picking up a pension, what they were earning $84 a month, now it's worth $1000, which means everyone would screwed over by inflation massively.
When I think of pension I think of company provided retirement fund, not SS. I have provided my own retirement 'pension' apart from what I receive from SS.

People are simply have to be open to paying much more for the same exact product made here. Or then don't bring the jobs back.
Tax cuts would mitigate some of those increased prices.

Sure, and companies, in order to make pensions work, will also need workers to work in order to pay your pension.

The company I work for has no pension plan. I provided my own pension through ownership of an apartment building. I bought it solely to provide for my retirement.

Which is an unsustainable plan for everyone. Imagine if everyone owned an extra building for their pension, you would have too many buildings and people wouldn't make money.

Thousands of federal workers from NIH, SS, EPA etc with PHD'S & other degrees gonna pick up a jackhammer & hang sheetrock, right, Ace?

Nice try, Howie.

You don’t use a jackhammer to hang Sheetrock, Buttercup. :cuckoo:

Remember when Biden told the coal miners he put out of work to just go code, or build solar panels?

It's not 1950. We are a global trading partner for the planet. The US no longer has the infrastructure to support manufacturing American automobiles anymore, you moron.
What infrastructure do we lack?

Before Trump ran with this long-held fetish of his, the rubes didn't give two little shits about the balance of trade, while there are much bigger fish to fry regarding domestic economics.

And now, right on cue, they're playing the poor little helpless victim, so badly abused by someone else. Just like they say about how the Democrats supposedly take advantage of them, as the GQP's excuse not to collaborate.

And this time they're dragging the whole fucking world down into their little paranoia.

Trumpsters make college snowflakes look like STALLONE.
Trump is kicking ass and taking names. All all you cucks can do is whine and cry about it.

You go ballistic when a President puts America first instead of last.

Exactly we thinking people plan for their own retirement. SS is a Ponzi scheme that is going broke. You just described it.

That's where company plans and SS come in. Also, assets acquired over a working lifetime, mainly in the form of a paid off house, are the foundation of many retirements. Seniors hold the most assets including real estate, stocks, bonds, etc. of any demographic.

Anyone who believes that manufacturing jobs are coming back to America is simply an idiot.

In fact, I have something for them...

Holy shit you are stupid. Are apartments the only investment vehicle out there? :cuckoo:

Oh look, a libturd trying to make money off something he doesn’t own.

"
Howard Lutnick appeared on CBS’s Face the Nation on Sunday and promised that “trillions” of dollars would flow into the US in the form of new investments in America’s manufacturing sector. Margaret Brennan, the show’s host, questioned whether those factories would be “automated”, as Lutnick had said previously.

Pointing out that the construction of new factories “takes years” and will do nothing to bring down costs of consumer goods for Americans in the short term, Brennan added: “You said that robots are going to fill those jobs. So those aren't union worker jobs.”

“It’s automated factories,” Lutnick conceded, while promising that American workers would build and “operate” the factories brought to US shores in the coming months and years."

Yep, they're planning on bringing manufacturing back to the US, but not for working class to have low paid jobs, they'll never compete with poorer countries even with the tariffs put in place. Nope, it's all going to be automated so the rich get RICHER and the poorer get morescrewedoverer.

The jobs coming back to America are NOT unskilled labor jobs. These are going to require moderate to high skilled workers.

You need to be fluent in machine languages, ladder logic, and automation/robotics which requires at least a basic understanding of hydraulics and electronics.

Meaning that you paid attention in math and science classes and didn't say, "I'll never use this stuff in the real world"

Starting salaries for these types of jobs are $150k/yr. Sure AI can give answers for office jobs and likely do the work....but AI can't change a $2 gasket that a million dollar machine needs replaced before it will work again.
