Ulster elected a Sinn Fein led Assembly but the DUP used a veto on this. Now it goes on.
The UK govt should come clean and admit that they would rather be rid of the province.

Thinks were going along ok until brexit. And here we are.

The US has a great deal at stake in the success of Brexit Tommy.

I am not sure of that. Trump was all for it but Obama spoke against it and Biden is not making any concessions on it.
In Ireland it has been a disaster and raked up shit that we should be looking at in the rear view mirror.
Most folk in Britain now realise they were sold a pup and want to get back in.

Unfortunately for the people of NI one President worked to get Brexit which itself goes against the Good Friday Agreement while the next goes against the UK for being in this position and threatens not to follow any of its commitments re Brexit if the Good Friday Agreement is lost and there are problems in NI, something which for some reason the UK Government seems to think means standing only by the DUP the people who wanted Brexit (wrongly believing that a Brexit vote would make a United Ireland and an Independent Scotland impossible.)

I do not understand how the DUP can just not fulfil its obligations and by that manage to stop the will of the people in NI. Is that what is going on?

Trump was not a respecter of treaties. The GFA is probably too complicated for him anyway.

They have been shafted by brexit, But this is a choice because they want the whip hand over Sinn Fein.

The Tories on line who sounded like the English far right knew perfectly well the position they were going to leave NI in re the GFA and Brexit. They did not care. Their position seemed to be that NI could leave the UK if they wanted to. If they knew the situation and they did, there is no way Boris and co did not know....and then you get the problems with Biden and really the total inability to sort this out because it cannot really be sorted out and the responsibility for that lies with the Parliamentarians who knowing this would be the situation supported Brexit.

No, I have looked it up and it is what the DUP or anyone else can do to stop the democratic will of the people of NI. I found the article below which gives a seemingly good description of what is going on.

You mean the conservative anglo american dickheads lol.... Those super savage capitalists and English speakers are the only people in the world that don't know the difference between socialists and communists (democracy DUHH and all that means DUHHH). And it works great at screwing regular people... Everyone else French Dutch Swedish Russians Italians Spanish etcetera etcetera have had socialist and communist parties in their democracies, the socialists won and the communists disappeared along with their support from the USSR.
