My version is by far the most soundest version.

First, "most soundest" is redundant. Secondly, no, it's not. It makes absolutely no sense to pull out and block the right lane when all she had to do was wait for a clear spot in both lanes, then pull out and merge.

Again, watch the video. There's at least a full minute where both lanes are in view but no traffic, just a lot of blaring horns. Then, from 2:06 to 2:11 her van and both lanes are in full view and there is no traffic around her van except for a parked car on the left hand side.

Fact is, she had plenty of time and space to pull into the left lane and leave.

That NYT video contains the video from the neighbor when she starts to move forward but then stops and doesn’t show the rest. Why not show the rest?

No, the camera is gone for most of the time and only shows 2 seconds at first then another two seconds at the end.

Nope. It was a lot more than two seconds. There was the point from 0:46 to 0:56 (ten seconds) where the van is in full view with no traffic. At 2:06 to 2:11 (five seconds) the van is shown again with no traffic near it.

Also, from 0:04 to about 1:25 the camera is not always on the van but clearly shows there is no traffic moving at all in either lane. The only vehicle moving during that period was the black Jeep Cherokee that pulled out onto the left lane at 0:25, stops and reverses the wrong way up the street away from Goode's van.

Sorry, but the video does not support your theory.

It doesn't matter that she got mixed messages, she knew full well she was not supposed to be there doing what she was doing in the first place. She was accountable for her actions when she decided to stop in the middle of the street, blocking traffic, before any officer issued a command. She was accountable right up to the moment the officer pulled the trigger.

In no way am I saying the shooting was justified, I simply don't know because we hear from "experts" both that it was and that it wasn't. I reckon they will determine that soon enough and I won't blink or balk either way. But it was her actions and choices alone that led to this.

I agree with a lot of what you say except for the last part. It was also his actions and choices that led to the outcome.
