Because if she is waiting legally for traffic to clear, ICE had no good reason to arrest her at all. Super important.

Watch the video again. The camera pans to the left a few times and Goode's van is seen clearly stopped crossways in the right lane. But more importantly, on at least two of these pans to the left, both lanes are clear and she had plenty of opportunity to pull onto the left lane and leave.

It's 2 lanes, in the same direction. Why would she pull out at 90 degrees?

I realize it's reported that ICE was trying to move a stuck car, and I'd bet she was told to move on but played her game with it escalating to the point of being told to get out of the car. That is a final climax of ignoring other orders.

That NYT video contains the video from the neighbor when she starts to move forward but then stops and doesn’t show the rest. Why not show the rest?
