Breaking: Woman shot while trying to kill ICE agents in Minnesota

Since you know his life wasn't in danger, why don't you tell us when it would be in danger.

After all, you are a left-winger. You know EVERYTHING.

I’m just calling them as I see them. I don’t expect you to agree.

She clearly messed up as well.
I think you mean she messed up FIRST.
Touching the police officer with the car alone should have been a severe penalty.
She clearly wasn't thinking straight. I have no doubt her mind was on getting out of there.

But that's where it started. She didn't asses. She just went (and then she died).

I just don’t think it should be considered an imminent life/death situation that the police officer turned it into.
I tend to hold such judgements to myself when I've not been there myself.

If you can state that his life was not in danger, then you must know the criteria for what would put it in danger.

Otherwise your first statement is poppycock.

I’m not obligated to provide you with criteria that you aren’t going to agree with anyway. :)

Deadly force cases and criminal charges usually come down to how well the shooter articulates their reason for shooting and generally has nothing to do with what anyone else thinks (you can ask a detective and they will tell you so).

That won't keep them out of civil court or from being sued, nor will it keep them from being fired should they be a law enforcement officer, but it can take criminal charges off the table.

irrelevant,,

she put his life in danger and ended up losing her life for it,,
Of course it’s relevant. If he doesn’t just stand there, then he doesn’t mistakenly think that his life is in danger.

- He positioned himself poorly.

- He made a poor decision in thinking she was trying to kill him when she was really trying to flee.

- He was standing maybe one foot away from a stationary car. He was at the side-front. That was never a life-threatening situation from thar distance and that speed.

- He made a poor decision to shoot at her multiple times, including twice through the side window, thinking his life was in danger.

- They chose not to let the doctor on site give her immediate medical attention.

Several mistakes. She obviously messed up too.

he didnt need to think she was trying to kill him,,
the car coming at him was more than enough reasonable belief his life was in danger,,
he acted accordingly,,
