Breaking: Woman shot while trying to kill ICE agents in Minnesota

Fortunately, the courts have already ruled against police and federal agencies on this very matter. The law may not care what I think, but in this case, the law agrees with everything I've said so far, which is not my opinion.
Which 'courts'? The Supreme Court says otherwise.

  1. Deadly force may not be used solely to prevent the escape of a fleeing suspect.
  2. Firearms may not be discharged solely to disable moving vehicles. Specifically, firearms may not be discharged at a moving vehicle unless: (1) a person in the vehicle is threatening the officer or another person with deadly force by means other than the vehicle; or (2) the vehicle is operated in a manner that threatens to cause death or serious physical injury to the officer or others, and no other objectively reasonable means of defense appear to exist, which includes moving out of the path of the vehicle. Firearms may not be discharged from a moving vehicle except in exigent circumstances. In these situations, an officer must have an articulable reason for this use of deadly force.
Fascinating, except ICE is part of DHS not DOJ. Try harder.

If ICE was part of DOJ, being hit by a moving vehicle constitutes a threat to cause serious harm. You are not doing well here.

The car did not remain stationary. You guys aren't very good at this.

I didn't say it remained stationary.

It was a very short distance away. Then it started moving. It didn't have a whole lot of space to pick up speed to the point that I would consider his life in danger.

If he was 80 feet away from a car that was accelerating toward him, then that's obviously a different story.

that close he could have been pulled under the car if his foot got caught by the tire,,

cops have been killed by that exact scenario

ended up fine is the after fact,,

at the time the car came at him he had no way of know what the outcome would be,, just that his life was in danger,,

After the fact it's clear that he over-reacted thinking that his life was in danger. It wasn't. He got a minor nudge. The car was trying to flee. From that distance, that's not lethal.

She clearly messed up as well. Touching the police officer with the car alone should have been a severe penalty. I just don’t think it should be considered an imminent life/death situation that the police officer turned it into. Not that I expect you to care what I think.
That's funny, you supported the hell out of Ashli Babbits murder, she was standing next Capitol Police, wrapped in a flag and that coward Byrd shot her from behind.

This woman actually DID hit the agent. Your hypocrisy is duly noted, and your opinion relegated to the circular file.

If this woman was leading a violent mob through a barricade to get to Trump or to any of our elected officials, I'd be fine with putting her down as well.

That wasn't what this was. She was fleeing.
