BREAKING: Supreme Court says US must aid in return of man deported by mistake

  • Due Process: ensures that the government follows fair procedures before taking actions that could deprive someone of life, liberty, or property.

Examples include the right to notice, the right to be heard, the right to present evidence, the right to cross-examine witnesses, and the right to legal representation.
"Due Process is the cornerstone of our democracy"
Those are "examples," doesn't mean every case has to go through all of that. It would be absurd if it did.

What is interesting or ironic....or something is that the pictures from the prison where he is in El Salvador looks pretty darn secure. I imagine he is safe from other gangsters there.
Whenever he gets brought back to the USA, into one of our prisons, I doubt he will be that safe from attacks.
So the irony is that he is more likely to be killed in our prisons.
Don't get the wrong idea, I am all in on due process and fixing any mistakes that were made. Whatever laws there are need to be followed. I certainly don't want a lawless government.

He will just be deported again if he is brought back.

This is yet another hill lefties are willing to die on.

The same people who had no problem with J6ers languishing in prison for years without a trial.

He will not be. He was granted protected status by a immigration judge. The ruling was 9-0. That apparently is a hill that all the justices were willing to die in.

The only people who spent a appreciable amount of time in jail were people who committed violent c rimes. Garbage like you thinks that is okay.

The reality isn't quite up to the liberal hype. It was kicked back to the lower court to explain just how these rogue judges were going to usurp executive powers. These hack judges can't do a thing if El Salvador simply says no.

Then we stop paying them the $6,000,000 to house our prisoners.

There is no “fact” that this guy was ever MD-13.

Exactly. Which Chief Justice Roberts in his decision there must first be a hearing, there must be due process. The man being illegally held in El Salvado is NOT a criminal, nor is he a member of a gang. He just hard-working man providing for his family.

Wrong, he came in when Obama was in office and Trump had the opportunity in 2019 to deport but a judge put a stop to that. He was a teenager in 2011.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia came to the U.S. around 2011. He entered the country illegally, fleeing gang violence in his native El Salvador. He sought refuge in the U.S., joining an older brother in Maryland. In other words, the court said, the Trump administration had the power to return him on its own. Abrego Garcia entered the country illegally sometime around 2011, but an immigration judge in 2019 – after reviewing evidence – withheld his removal.

Show us where the Supreme Court said he doesn't need to come back to U.S.? I see it in no order.
My bad, I read it wrong and did not see 'by midnight.' I wasn't trying to be cute I just missed it. Thanks for the correction. Here is what I read and what I missed.
.
"The United States does not have to return a Maryland man who was accidentally deported to a high-security prison in El Salvador to U.S. soil by midnight, the Supreme Court ruled Monday in an administrative stay that temporarily pauses a judge's previous order."

He is not and his home country try is El Salvador
I don't care where he is from... he needs to be deported... you don't rise to the top of MS13 unless you have killed people... what about that do you not get?...

The big take away from this is the court has ruled that Trump can not work outside of the law.

Just crossed the wire.

Essentially, they said the US must aid in the return of a man whom was deported "by mistake" back to the US. Yes, Trump made a mistake here. Yes, the Supreme Court nailed it.

If you have links post them below.

An illegal who does not commit terrible crimes does not deserve and El Salvador prison.

However

He is still illegal. Why was he here so long in the first place?

The illegal. had a hearing and was ordered to be removed.
