I'm arguing Trump violated that order simply because he wanted to.

But that's not actually what happened.

1. I dont believe and I dont think you actually believe that the POTUS had his hands in selecting who was being deported or that they went to Trump and said "hey we've got this guy who has do not deport order for El Salvador" and Trump said "fuck that guy I hate brown people so get him out of here" etc etc.

2. Garcia had a valid deportation order. The do not deport to El Salvador order only applies so long as Barrio 18 gang (the gang he claimed he was seeking asylum from) was a valid threat. It required an interview with either ICE or INS I believe. That was the only "due process" piece that was missing I believe. As I've said before in this thread if Im wrong please post up the link to the process.

Did the Admin punt this into the stands? Yes. It's frankly unfathomable how you can fuck something like this up. Im not sure how when they put this list together of guys they were going to ship to El Salvador that they didnt ensure every one of them was a stone cold lock gang member. That said Garcia is an illegal immigrant who had a deportation order who was sent back to his home country. This isnt the hill to die on.

I don't have to prove that court orders don't just disappear on their own. I can't help those of you who haven't even the basic knowledge of how things work.
