Since I am paying with cash they treated me OK. That and I went to school with the owner.

Everything totaled around 32K.....Hard to believe that's just $500.00 off from what I paid for my first house! Fookin' hell!

Kind of "plain jane" lookin' but it's all I need to tool about and go down on my river property toting my trailer/4-wheeler every now and again.

LOL...It's got a push button starter on it.....Reminds me of how I used to set up old Jeeps.

I've been looking for one ('21 or '22 with like milage) for about a month and they are very thin on the ground in my AO so I jumped on this one when they called. I had asked them to be on the look out for one for me.

I won't be sad to see my 2010 F-150 go down the road. No need for it anymore. It just sits unless I have to take something to the dump. I use it so little I had to buy a battery minder to put on it to keep the battery up. My son in law will make good use of it as his PU just shat the bed.

They are scarce cuz 4Runner owners dont give them up.

I had a 2013 Black 4Runner Limited that I loved until a kid ran into me and totaled it. Had zero issues over 11 years.

I now have a 2023 Black 4Runner Limited that I love.

4Runners are FANTASTIC

My old one in Appalachia.

The guy who owned this one was from the next county over who passed away and his wife was selling all his shit and moving.

One thing about the dealer, he does not buy dogs. I bet between my dad and myself we have bought a score of vehicles from G&M over the years. Never disapointed.

It's nice to buy from a local family-owned dealership you know and can trust.....Both of his sons and one grandson work there too. :)

I struggled between the 4Runner and Nissan Rogue when I bought new in 2021. I bought the Rogue because the ratings were similar and it had a bigger trunk space. So far, it's been wonderful. My biggest complaint is the sound from the Bose system isn't as good as the Honda CRV I had for 10 years without any problems except the air conditioning, which had numerous recalls on it from day 1.

And 4Runners are more expensive, as I recall.

I considered a Nissan Pathfinder but the years I wanted ('21-'23) they were of unibody construction.

I hate buying vehicles because I start doing math that pisses me off.

How many miles does it have?
How many miles best case can it reach.
How many miles if the difference?
Divide that number by the purchase price or amount financed and get starting point of Vehicle cost per future mile.
Add interest (if not a cash purchase)
Add fuel costs
Add maintenance and repair costs. . .

I can drive myself crazy with it.

LOL PUN

My 2003 Tacoma has original antifreeze and hoses.
Seat belt retract issues as too many of my Toyota’s

Yeah, that's why I like dealing with the place I bought it from. No pressure at all.

The thing there is if you see something you want you better jump or it will be gone before you know it. Of course I had already done my homework when they called.

I test drove it, asked to get it down to a certain price, they did, and I was pretty much done. In and out in about a half-hour including the test drive.

I recently bought a truck (like you pointed out) that was right on top of what I paid for my first house.

It's a thought that pisses me off more and more, every time I have to put more money into it.

It's just a ******* truck.

LOL....It's called the SKS Syndrome as in; "I'm not paying $600 for one of those, I bought them in the 80s for $79.00!"

Yeah old man, and a new CJ-7 Jeep was 5K.

Too bad they are so $. I'd like one of these.

Buy a cheap trailer if you need to haul once in a while.

$500

Wish I still had one. I had a couple of them in the past. You could buy nice ones for $450 15 years ago. My car is a 2011. Hope it keep running. Mileage is not very high. I can't afford these crazy cars or trucks they got now.

Should of waited until you found a true classic like this one. Dude started it up for me and I heard it run, had not seen one this original since I was a little kid.

Toyota's have crazy good resale value, doing Covid I saw some used Tacoma's (year or two) selling for more than they cost brand new, it was crazy, even crazier is they all were purchased as soon as they hit the market.

LOL....The guy I get to mow my river property has a white one.....It sat for years in a office parking garage space in NOtVA.

The former (passed) owner's wife gave it to him to free-up the (now very expensive) parking space.

We put some air in the tires, put it on a car trailer he rented and I hauled it back to town to my dad's place to where we could work on it

We changed the fluids, put a new battery/plugs in it and it started right up!

I guess he's been using it for around six years now. Bare bones and all but it's great to tool around town in for small hauling chores.....That and you can get stuff out of it without a step ladder.

Yeah, I was jelly. ;)

I looked at what the one (same deluxe package) I bought sold for new in 2021.....There was not much difference in what I paid.

Just goes to show how little our money is worth with each passing year. I'm not sure if "resale value" is all that it's cracked up to be when you have 20.6% inflation from '21 to '26.

That new 35K 4runner in '21 is now around 58K for a new one in '26.

I bought a used 5.7 v8 2019 Tundra over two years ago with 48,000 miles for 38K, avoiding the new twin turbo six version with issues.

Looking online I could sell it today for that same price even after adding 50,000 miles and over two years on it.
Has a lot to do with a sudden demand for the older reliable 8 cylinder and major recalls and problems of the new Gen 3 TT6 Tundra.
