He did apply several months before the last election. It was his application that actually triggered the charges against him.So why did he not apply for naturalization? See post #9.

Well, that wasn't very intelligent, was it?He did apply several months before the last election. It was his application that actually triggered the charges against him.
So, he really wasn't operating off the basis of ignorance then was he?He did apply several months before the last election. It was his application that actually triggered the charges against him.
Voting illegally multiple times isnt a big deal?Yes as I wrote previously he broke the law. I am using my brain and recognizing that everything is not just a Black/White Yes/No issue. You can take the hard line of deport them all, no exceptions, no shades of gray. That is your prerogative. I say that his "crime" does not rise to the level of deportation from the only country he has ever known.
Let's go over the facts again. He came to the US at age 4, has had permanent resident status for the last 35 years and is the Mayor of a small Kansas town. He said he has known no other life than being an American and didn't know his status was not enough to allow him to vote in Federal elections. A reasonable mistake imo considering he IS legally allowed to hold public office.Voting illegally multiple times isnt a big deal?
Seriously?
Oh so he didnt know. Ignorance isnt an excuse for voter fraud.Let's go over the facts again. Of all the incidents of deliberate illegal voting i.e. multiple mail in ballots, dead people votes, this is a very poor case to bring to court to try and imprison and/or deport a good man imo. The evidentiary hearing is March 12th, we will see how the trial proceeds.
I see. So you think he deserves to be deported to a country he has never known or should he serve 5 years in prison first and then be deported?Oh so he didnt know. Ignorance isnt an excuse for voter fraud.
I dont believe that anyway. What grown adult doesnt know only citizens vote? Seriously..
All I know is, he should be deported.I see. So you think he deserves to be deported to a country he has never known or should he serve 5 years in prison first and then be deported?
We'll see what the judge and jury decide. IMO deportation is a punishment that far outweighs the crime in this instance. I'd say a fine for each time he voted illegally would suffice. All I know is, he should be deported.
If green card holders commit felonies, they should be deported.
So we should make the law have exceptions if people are ignorant? We'll see what the judge and jury decide. IMO deportation is a punishment that far outweighs the crime in this instance. I'd say a fine for each time he voted illegally would suffice.
Read the law. Exceptions are written into the law such that a judge/jury can assess the individual circumstances of the illegal voting and determine the appropriate punishment. So we should make the law have exceptions if people are ignorant?
I believe the UK is doing something similar with muslims and sexual assault.
So you believe should be deported even though he has held Permanent Green Card status for decades. Got it.
Which exception applies, dumbass? Put your emotions where your mouth is and answer the damned question, retard!
Brand "ILLEGAL ALIEN" on his face and deport him. That's much less than he deserves. We'll see what the judge and jury decide. IMO deportation is a punishment that far outweighs the crime in this instance. I'd say a fine for each time he voted illegally would suffice.
I don't know what a 5150 hold is, and I believe your opinion is based in emotion rather than logic and reason. If he voted illegally, he should not be deported. He should HANG.
You need a 5150 hold.
Work on your comprehension problem.I don't know what a 5150 hold is, and I believe your opinion is based in emotion rather than logic and reason.
Work on your hyper-emotional thought process. Have a nice day!Work on your comprehension problem.
You're projecting.Work on your hyper-emotional thought process. Have a nice day!
You are the one raging, not me. You have stated you want Mayor Ceballos to HANG for voting Trump even though he is a duly elected Mayor of a small town that is 83 percent Republican. I say let the judge and jury decide. My guess is they will apply the illegal voting law reasonably and give him a fine. We will see. You're projecting.
Or drunk.
No. I want any and all illegal voters to hang, because there is no difference between election fraud and treason. You are the one raging, not me.
