BP Numbers Scam?

Yes. There is a saying.

Don't blame red meat for the obesity that carbohydrates cause.
Spare Tires

Carbs come from plant food, which was unavailable in the prehistoric winter. So the human species developed the metabolism and storage of carbohydrates as fat to feed the body during the winter.

blood pressure is something which varies all the time, in every different patient.

9 years ago, when I was getting my dental implants done, I was very nervous, and it drove mine up to Ballistic levels.

But as soon as the oriental babe who was assisting gave me a shot of Versed, I was good to go and we were at normal range almost immediately.

Being in a doctor's office is very stressful, and blood pressure is one way to measure it.

Doctors poo-poo it along with most drug side effects. If anyone seriously believes that doctors are concerned with their health, they need to see a psychiatrist. Doctors want to get you back on your feet and back to work so you can pay your medical bills but not so healthy that you don't return soon. This plan is so effective that they are swamped with return patients that must wait months for treatment.
If He Sounds Like a Quack, and Struts Like a Quack, He's a Doc

And the well-hidden cause is that a doctor is a bitter Mama's Boy who doesn't earn a living until he is 26 years old. His slave education (temporary knowledge, no understanding) turns him into a GreedHead, making up for his lost youth by making as much money as he can, as fast as he can, any way he can.

This is something that is apples and pears.

1. What is the generally accepted BP for a healthy adult who is not obese?
2. What BP level triggers action?

If your BP is 120 to 130 over 80, it won't trigger a diagnostic action. Over it will.

The key metric is what it is supposed to be. Not what triggers action.
But countless doctors ARE prescribing BP meds for those with BP 120 to 130 over 80. Say they want it lower. The CDC now defines healthy blood pressure as LESS than 120/80.

Doctors are not nutritionists. By definition they are not going to, and cannot, base their entire treatment model solely on nutrition.

That’s why dieticians and nutritionists exist

The medical profession focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Diet is only one piece of the puzzle
If dieticians and nutritionists know the answers they're not talking either.

Healthy blood pressure should be the result of health, not meds.

128 over 72 was my last reading... but I do take lisinopril... be careful the numbers of people having strokes are higher than ever and the victims are younger than ever... fast food heavy in sodium... sugar and a lack of exercise adds up...
But 110 over 70 is like a childs BP and could be for added drug sales...
Watch that stuff. My dad was taking that and started to develop a severe cough. Changed to val something and the cough went away.
It doesnt effect everyone like that, though.

There’s no pat “answer”

A sensible diet and regular exercise will help prevent many chronic illnesses. Hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes-2 etc.

But sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes people still need medicine anyways.

And some people will always eat too much or drink too much or smoke too much and sit around too much and no amount of doctors or dieticians telling them not to will change that.

And those people are definitely going to need some pills as they get older.

It’s not a conspiracy

Regardless of people's habits they should have the needed information when they do decide to care for their health. It should be readily available and easily understood. It should also be presented as part of one's formal education. Senior high school is good place as most go to HS.
