You find so many Russians living in Asia, they want to be far away from Russia for a variety of reasons, but since Ukraine started the exodus has really increased. They can be found everywhere. Putin is so desperate he is resorting to this.

Hopefully Ukraine can somehow get them to surrender without killing them. They will serve little purpose other than stopping bullets, they won't provide any tactical advantage, and might do the opposite.
