In an odd political loop hole Michael Bloomberg may make the ballot for President in the state of Virginia unless he takes legal action to remove his name from the petition of the Independent Greens of Virginia. The Indy Greens were part of a lose coalition which included the Independence Party of Minnesota and New York Independence Party that were hoping to lay the ground work for a potential Bloomberg run that never materialized. Cary Campbell the state chair of the party is the leader of a signature gathering machine that seems more interested in giving their petitions to the highest bider rather than being loyal to any particular political platform. The Independent Greens turned in 70,000 signatures and enough were verified to place Bloomberg on the ballot with Ron Paul as his running mate. Bloomberg has until the 5th of September to decline his name being put on the ballot. According to Ron Paul's spokesman there will be no move to take his name off the ballot as the VP candidate.
