At the risk of returning this thread to the actual topic, let’s ask ourselves, honestly, if we are witnessing, these days, a notable and obvious increase in antisemitic sentiment in our country.
Ironically, it all seems to have really begun with the 10/7 attack on Israel. Israel went into Gaza to rout Hamas and the sea of anti-Jew attacks has grown from there. Gee, Israel cannot catch a break--- they get attacked by Hamas then get blamed for it. Hezbollah bombs from the north and Israel gets blamed for it. Now Iran closes the Strait and who really gets blamed for it? Israel again. Even Trump flew off the handle cussing Bibi for returning fire at Hezbollah. Just when does anything become Hamas', Palestine's, Lebanon, or Iran's fault?
But Lisa isn’t wrong in noting that the expression of anti-Jewish rhetoric seems to be perfectly within the Board Rules.
I suppose what it comes down to is membership here is at will, voluntary. Nothing keeping anyone here. Whatever is fair or just, whatever the rules might say, whatever anyone thinks mods ought to or should be doing, it really finally comes down to only one thing: if you don't like the forum, we are all free to leave it. This A&F forum is nice, but does not really commit management to any action or response if they don't want to do it.
And yes, you cannot iggy a mod, and while I might hope Xenforo would block a mod from iggying any members (how can you moderate if you have members you cannot even see?), if a mod does put you on ignore, I'd probably take that as my having irritated the shit out of them. A good sign that perhaps some new strategy is required--- I mean, half the time, we cannot get government to do its job as required by their own laws, so what chance do we have with a mod?
BTW, has anyone seen/heard from Willhaftawaite recently? He's an old mod who goes by a new name now but I forget what it is. I think it is
Auld Phart now. Doesn't look like he's posted in a couple months.
