I've dealt with a lot of situations like this, and I've known lots of NCOs and Drill Sergeants..... there was more going on here prior to what was shown on the video.

And he didn't touch him until the guy began walking towards the woman he said was his wife. Pretty reasonable reaction, under the circumstances.

under what circumstances? He was pointing in that direction and told him to walk that way. He was doing anything threatening to anyone.

You keep trying to twist things around to post the blame on the black guy, exonerate pentland, and create a false narrative by dreaming up some sort of backstory. A fat black guy tried to provoke me into assaulting him while his girlfriend filmed it just last night, (about 0430hrs actually) calling me a racist the entire time. He got shoved back out of my face and told to fuck off and the cops he called on me, (black officer btw) knew he was just trolling for a fight he could turn into a lawsuit. And we all knew who the real racist motherfuckers were in that situation last night..... and it wasn't me.

you are correct.... the man has a right to be on a public street. It is in his rights. What happens if he starts threatening people or infringing on other peoples’ rights? We live in an era where “if you see something, say something”. For the record, I think the assaulter (white guy) overstepped his bounds and should be accountable for physically assaulting the the man (black guy). I also think the victim (black guy) was not just walking through the neighborhood admiring the landscape.
