Black Unemployment Is Surging Again. This Time Is Different.

Gee, we wouldn't have these fluctuations if people were hired and promoted based on merit and intelligence instead of artificial, irrelevant tributes like race, gender, sex and sexual preference. The change is refreshing--but not to worry. Those numbers will turn around as soon as the best and brightest are selected with no regard to physical attributes.
Too funny......................

Best and brightest?

May 10, 2025 — Pirro is the 23rd current or former Fox News employee Trump has recruited for his administration since taking office earlier this year.

Black men (in particular) didn't show up for Harris.

As a group, it's hard for me to have sympathy for them (as a group). On a case-by-case basis...yep it sucks. No social safety nets; no means of upward mobility...sky high housing costs, food prices out of control; And Wait til the blob and company destroy the postal workers unions.

Its a high price to pay to avoid having a female POTUS but they were willing to pay it.
destroy the unions?....you mean like reagan was supposed to do?...in my 33 years there i heard this constantly from the democrats with every republican president....yet they are still there....

This is 100% about cutting wasteful government spending.

In Nashville, you go to a branch of government, any of it, and it seems like the only requirements to "work" there are being

1. black
2. female
3. over 300 pounds
4. viciously bigoted and partisan

When the Democrats pack the government with do nothings, and then the Republicans cut spending, "black unemployment" rises because Democrats discriminate in who they hire to "work" for government....

It's true .. even on a state level the bureaucracies are stacked with minorities for all the wrong reasons.

the Trump administration’s assault on diversity programs

The Democrat Party always has to give preferential treatment to some and discriminate against others. The Democrat Party can never support equality.

“Joblessness for Black workers is rising again, two years after reaching a record low. It’s a troubling indicator: Joblessness often spikes higher for historically marginalized groups during economic downturns, and takes longer to fall.

This time, the Trump administration’s assault on diversity programs and cuts to the federal work force could make it even more difficult for Black workers to recover when conditions improve.

The African American unemployment rate has surged over the past four months, from 6 to 7.5 percent, while the rate for white people ticked down slightly to 3.7 percent. On top of a slowing economy, the White House’s actions have disproportionately harmed Black workers, economists said.”

Trump supporters will of course lie about this being ‘fake news.’

It’s not.

Trump’s assault on diversity programs is having the desired outcome.
Sooo in other words a person actually has to be qualified for the job before they get it.

I am curious to know if this is due to cutting government jobs, which has a high percentage of African Americans(relative to the overall population).

Biden and his party, flooding this country with 20 million illegal aliens, is the biggest cause for rising unemployment.

Spiked again last month. Trump's policies doing their thing.

Dec 16 (Reuters) - The unemployment rate for two U.S. groups that are often the most vulnerable to job loss in a softening economy - Blacks and teenagers - surged to the highest levels in more than four years in November, Labor Department data showed on Tuesday.
The jobless rate for Blacks hit 8.3% in November, the highest reading since August 2021, after standing at 7.5% in September, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data. The rate for teens shot up to 16.3%, the highest level since August 2020, from 13.2% in September.

Since I am a black man, I refuse to take any part of the blame for what happened. In what world is 79 percent voting against Trump not showing up for Harris? Please tell me because 79 percent of the black men who voted, did so for Harris. There is no other situation when 21 percent is considered a great gain or show of support. The only situations that I know of where the lowest score wins are cross country and golf. When 79 percent of a group opposes a candidate that is not support. In 2020, Trump got 19 percent of the black male vote. When did 2 percent start qualifying as a big gain?

79 percent of black men, that's about 4 out of 5 black men in America who voted in 2024. So it is time to stop repeating the white media narrative. Whites are why Trump won, not black men.

Trump got 13 percent support from blacks, 46 percent from Hispanics, and 40 percent of the Asian vote. The ONLY group as a population that voted for Trump in a majority, both men and women, were white. So why did the media run stories about record black male support or great increases in Hispanic support, when most of the people in both these groups said NO to Donald Trump? If whites had voted 55 percent for Trump, he would have lost. But they didn’t. 57 percent of the white vote went to Donald Trump. Trump won the election by less than 2 percent.

It is time this narrative stopped. It's time whites stop looking at everything but themselves, and I am talking to white liberals as well as white right-wingers here.

Stocks jumped Thursday, snapping a recent losing streak, following an encouraging readout on inflation.
The delayed consumer-price index for November showed prices rose 2.7% in the past 12 months, slowing from a 3% rate in September and considerably below consensus forecasts.

Economists polled by The Wall Street Journal had expected a 3.1% rate.

Excluding volatile food and energy prices, the core rate stood at 2.6%, also slower than expected.

That was the lowest core inflation since early 2021, before a pandemic-era spike that took this rate above 6%.
However, economists cautioned against reading too much into the report due to gaps in data collection during the government shutdown. The stoppage meant there was no October CPI report.
The Nasdaq composite led gains, rising more than 1%. The dollar slipped and Treasury yields held losses. Shares in Nvidia and other artificial-intelligence-linked companies rose after Micron said it expects demand from AI developers to boost growth. The memory-chip stock surged.

Yep. The racism is coming home to roost.

White is a race and whites don't get hired and promoted because of merit and intelligence. It's time this racist narrative is dropped as well. These fluctuations occur because of the continuing racism of whites.

Blame the Democrats or blame the demographic...the fact is that they didn’t show up for her.
