Birx May Replace Fauci as Conronavirus Spokesperson

Yep, she will say whatever Trump tells her to say and will never question it...not even once.

That is who we need right now...someone that will lie for the president to the American people

We cannot let the truth get out

How do you know he's telling the truth? At a time like this, you don't tell the American people that it's possible 100,000 Americans could die. That's the last thing we need. If he has some factual evidence of something, that's fine. But he should keep his defeatist predictions to himself.

Hell...that is just crazy talk.

As soon as some one's view departs from Trump - all of a sudden that person's credibility is put into question (but not Trump's). I've never seen anything like this.

Fauci is a scientist and a doctor who has served under multiple administrations. He is not political. Why on earth would he make something up?

Isn't truth important to you guys? How can you prepare for something if you are forbidden from broaching it?

So we prepare for it how, by expecting the worst? By getting people so upset they run to the store and buy every last package of toilet paper we can get our hands on? By making sure we have at least 50 cans of spaghetti on hand just in case?

We have enough panic in our country right now in case you didn't notice. I don't need somebody telling me things will be totally back to normal by April 20th, and I don't need somebody telling me to prepare for an unavoidable death either.
Good thing Fauci never said that, another sign of his good judgment. Equally good you do not need someone saying thing will be back to normal by april 20, because it won't be. I am glad you and I are not the panicky type. People like us sleep well, without being morbidly obsessed with reality and I doubt we are singularly level headed as opposed to most of the people we know. Fauci is perfect for the job he is doing. No need to change.

He didn't say that? Better check with CNN.

You wrote "I don't need somebody telling me things will be totally back to normal by April 20th,"
I am correct in my statement. Fauci never said things will be back to normal by April 20th. He's a very sensible man.
Trump just said in closing today's briefing "A lot of people are dying and it's a very unpleasant thing to go through". I think he is starting to understand.

No, I was speaking about Fauci and you knew that, but probably didn't know he recently said it. Saying millions are going to get sick and hundreds of thousands might die is adding to the fear factor. Nobody knows how this will end. We don't know when a vaccine will be ready, we don't know how the season change may affect it, we don't know if it will go away and never come back, or if it will reappear in the future, we just don't know. So it's irresponsible to make predictions at this point.
I was responding to you editorial support for changing from Fauci to Birx and directly quoting you. I actually did not read the link. I totally agree with everything you just stated in you response, but seriously I wasn't consciously ignoring a Fauci quote. I too think a prediction of millions of deaths an over the top fear mongering prediction. If you say it is a quote, I'll look at it and bitch about it with ya.

I've always had my doubts about him. He was on Laura's show a couple of times. She questioned him about the use of hydroxychloriquine. It's like he didn't want to answer. He kept repeating crap about clinical studies. Well.......we don't have clinical studies, and it's been prescribed for other things the last couple of decades. In most of the patients that were put on hydoroxychloroquine and azithromycin, they had amazing recoveries from COVID-19.

It just seems like he's too pessimistic; almost like he's hoping this will be a tragedy.

Lets work with what you just wrote.

The patients symptoms can be well diminished applying hydoroxychloroquine.

Good.

Then, what is next?

Simple, just keep using hydoroxychloroquine and lets go back to work, school, club, party, etc.

But, wait...

If people know it is so "simple", then they will question what was all that fuss of closing business and destroying the economy?

Will the current administration recognize that the current radical steps were taken unnecessarily?

Rather than heroes and saviors, how the total politicians (Republicans and Democrats) will look in front of the masses if taking care of the virus symptoms was just using hydoroxychloroquine?

As you can see, even when hydoroxychloroquine works in reality, after all this mess created around the virus spread, the current administration has no other choice but continuing with the "scheduled" hysteria.

Unless president Trump -as usual- breaks with traditional politics and do what he does best, put business in bankruptcy and start all anew again with a better suited business. It did work well with his business, perhaps works well as well with his current business, the US economy.

I doubt it, but who knows.

How has Fauci stepped over the line?
Fauci is perfect for the job, a man of science and experience, who speaks the truth. If he puts a "yes man" parrot in the position we're probably Fkd.

Fauci was good for educating people on the virus and how people can stay best protected. We've moved on from that point and now it's time for the people who understand the solutions both medical and economical needed to beat the virus, beyond stay locked up in your house till a vaccine is discovered.
We may be breathing heavy, but we haven't cum there yet. Sounds like premature ejaculation on you part to me.

Given the fact this is a whole new thing to us, clinical studies would probably take to long to complete, and we need something now. So until it can be determined that the drug works every time it's tried, then it's not technically reliable, and we can't actually instruct people to be more careless about getting infected.

I talked to my nurse practitioner about it. She stated that hydroxychloroquine is not a preventative prescription to take. You can still get CD-19 with it. It's a preventative drug for malaria, but so far, not known to be for COVID-19.

Is he supposed to lie and say 5k?

Someone needs to counter balance the sunshine and rainbows bullshit coming from Trump.

So we need somebody to spread panic while Trump is trying to calm people down? Are the shelves at your grocery store not empty enough or something?
If people don’t think there is a serious risk posed by COVID, are they likely to comply with unprecedented and costly restrictions?

That has nothing to do with it. My only point is that this guy is trying to spread panic, and that's not what President Trump needs right now. It doesn't mean to be careless, or loosen social restrictions, it simply means don't let the top medical guy tell people hundreds of thousands of us are going to die.

It has everything to do with it. People need to know what’s at stake when you ask them to sacrifice. Otherwise why would they do it?
Very good point.

She's another yes man coward.

If Fauci leaves, the country will collapse.

Trump respects what Wall Street dictates, and the market will PLUMMET if he does this.

Ray, Just read your link. It was definitely fear mongering to say"I mean, looking at what we're seeing now, you know, I would say between 100 and 200,000 (deaths). "I mean, looking at what we're seeing now, you know, I would say between 100 and 200,000 (deaths). Even if it his opinion, it is more than a lot of Americans need from him, even if he shades what he is saying with "But I don't want to be held to that."
Bullshit and lies we have been told by the administration are absolutely dangerously counter productive from the beginning of this mess, but indeed too much truth is bad for the soul.

I agree with this. Further scaring the living shit out of society accomplishes nothing. I’m not for rose colored sunglasses, but there is no utility to making these predictions.

Brix is a doctor.
Who thinks her job is to reassure the populace. I've not seen that in the Hippocratic Oath.

Her job is to reassure the public. Incase no one noticed, all the cable TV networks are 100% invested in scaring the shit out of everyone. Brix deals in facts and doesn't present them in a manner that causes panic. Faucci needs to go back to the lab or wherever. He would likely do way mor good there.
