Biden’s Gift to Terror: STUNNING infographic shows the MASSIVE new arsenal the Taliban now possesses

Ok. So the weapons were not transferred to the Afghani Army as part of the effort to give them the tools and equipment to conduct operations against the Taliban?
Actually they probably were but since the Afghan army fell apart the Taliban just walked in and took all of that stuff

For a long time now I’ve been complaining that neither the Republicans nor the Democrats have any Core Beliefs other than a belief that winning is good, and losing is bad. For you on the Right who allowed Hatred of Biden to be your only goal, you have proven my point. Again.

The law that sits in the craw of Litigation Lawyers who dream of bankrupting gun manufacturers is the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act. Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act - Wikipedia

This law says that unless the weapon is defective you can’t sue gun makers. If the seller conducted a background check, and the transfer was approved, you can’t sue them.

I have always supported this. My analogy has been that you can’t sue Dodge for making a fast car that some idiot crashed while speeding. Or blaming Ford for a Drunk killing a family.

The Right has always approved of this law, and defended it the same way. The Core Belief behind this law, the principle if you will, was that you can’t blame a manufacturer if a weapon was used criminally.

Now of course, we have the Right determined to Get Biden, no matter the cost. And they intend on using anything they can. Anything Biden does is automatically bad. Blind hatred has trumped any Core Belief or Principle.

Now, where the weapon ends up, that is all that matters. Yes the weapons were transferred to the Afghani Army. Yes this was done to help them fight. But the weapons ended up in the hands of the Taliban, and that makes it Biden’s fault.

So how is it not Ruger’s fault when a pistol is used to murder Grandma when it was Stolen from John Smith? Ruger should have known that the weapons were going to be stolen from the lawful owner, and used in criminal activity shouldn’t they?

What you idiots on the Right are doing is weakening your own arguments in an effort to get Biden. You’ll sacrifice anything, if it might hurt Biden just a little, for just a little while. Any principle is fair game. The only thing that matters is winning. They must lose.

Why should I or anyone vote Republican? What do you stand for? What principles do you believe in? What core beliefs do you have? You can’t argue that you believe in doing what is right. You don’t. You’re throwing all those beliefs on the bonfire of your opposition.

So what is it that you on the Right actually believe in? Because it isn’t freedom. It isn’t truth. It isn’t principles. What are you left with?

And blaming Biden for this is logical why?
I can't say that it's logical but I can say that he probably was warned that the equipment would end up in the wrong hands. Either way it's unacceptable that the Taliban ended up with all this stuff. What we're not hearing is probably the screaming voices of 100 different military men who had something to say about this and were told to shut up. One way or another somebody needed to pull the plug on that massive money grift. The American public has been lied to for 20 years about the effort in Afghanistan... There was never any real possibility of turning those people away from their primitive devotions. Training the Afghan army was ridiculous because 80% of them are loyal to the Taliban anyway. The true travesty here isn't even so much the $85 billion in abandoned equipment. That's peanuts compared to the nearly 1 trillion dollars that was robbed from the American taxpayer sent over to the black hole of non-accountability in the Afghan theater and boomerang back into bank accounts all over North America that enriched elected officials of both parties. Afghanistan is a shrine to how the American government rapes the American people, lies to the American people and burglarizes the American people. I think Trump would have done the withdrawal differently but no matter how it was done it was bound to be a catastrophe because it was never anything but.

Because his admin took no measures at all to prevent it. In fact every action they took made it easier for the taliban.

Baloney. The weapons were transferred to the Afghani Army. The official military force of the recognized Government of Afghanistan. The plan, and the only plan we’ve had for twenty years, was for the Afghan Army to fight the Jihadists, with us for a while, and then eventually without us.

Nobody expected that the Afghan Army would fold in days. The most pessimistic outlook was months.

So tell me why this is different than blaming Glock when someone steals John Smith’s pistol and murders someone? Glock should have known that John Smith wasn’t going to use his weapons or secure them properly.

Nonsense. You are so full of hatred you’re selling your core beliefs for a chance to ding Biden.

After your authoritarian covid bullshit you have the gall to post this shit?

You are demented.

Bullshit. The xiden admin has been warned for MONTHS that it would happen.

Stop lying.

I suggest. Advise. And point out that every specialist in Communicable Disease advises that you get a Vaccine. I have never said the Government should require. I have never argued that refusal to do so should result in any detainment. I just say that if you don’t in the face of all that evidence. You are an idiot.

Hardly authoritarian.

Link? I’m assuming you have one. Any link dated BEFORE the collapse began that showed any prognosticator making that prediction. I’m sure you can find some dated after. But we are going to need one dated before.

Nonsense. You are so full of hatred you’re selling your core beliefs for a chance to ding Biden.
You would have to be mentally ill to make that statement after reading the post I just put up. There were reports of military men absolutely pulling their hair out over this issue. It's understandable. I'm actually taking a soft line on Dr. Poc..... I did say that Trump would have had a similar problem although I'm sure he would have found a way to take the machinery out of their hands.
Your reply is completely non sequitur.
You guys elected a sundowning Alzheimer's patient. There is no hatred in that statement only truth.

First, as I’ve said since before the election. I didn’t vote in 2020. Nobody was worth my vote. There was nobody to vote for. And everyone had reasons for me to vote against the other guy.

Second. The most pessimistic report I read was the Afghan Army falling in months. Not days. Months. Which means that the advisors believed that Afghan could hold out, and expend many of those munitions for a while.

Nobody saw the nation falling in days. Almost everyone saw them falling. But the questions as to how long, nobody thought days. The argument was that if we leave the munitions, the Afghan Army could hold out longer.

You are more honest than most if you admit that this would have happened to Trump too. A point I’ve made. If I have unfairly painted you, I apologize.

Nobody can make a man fight.

I am an advocate of closing down Afghanistan..... It was never worth the effort.... When there were elements of Al Qaeda hiding there and using the assets to attack us a few air force raids did the trick....but that wasn't enough for the dishonest politicians who saw a chance to make millions once again off of a phony war....and so for 20 years they did just that. Unfortunately, like the Russia Collusion BS eventually hurt Trump.... Biden will never get out from underneath this .... I understand he's not interested in running again so he was actually the perfect person to get this done. The specter of failure ( though it is certainly opportunistic and for political reasons ) will damage the 24 Democratic POTUS run almost irreparably I think.

A decade ago, on another message board, I was chastised and blasted by Democrats for arguing that we were not fighting to win, but not to lose.

I’ve said it before. To win the war, we would have to bankrupt ourselves many times over. We would have to drag Afghanistan into the modern world, slowly and carefully managed. Educating the kids to be more Liberal than their parents, and then educating the next generation to be more liberal still. Until finally in four or five generations, the nation was Sectarian instead of based upon Religious beliefs.

I have always given credit to McCain for that truth during the 2008 campaign.

I like healthy debate. I love to argue issues. I like to think about them and consider my own opinions. I am in awe of some of the greats in history. Reagan is my favorite to quote for this sort of thing. He could describe and discuss his core beliefs without a note or prompter. He believed in those ideals. For him Star Wars was common sense. According to his beliefs it made all the sense in the world to take action to protect yourself.

I was a Democrat then, and honestly didn’t vote until 88 when I was old enough. But it made sense then, and now. When someone throws a punch at you, your instinctive survival instinct is to protect yourself. You try and block the punch. You may not block them all, but you still try. And every single one you block prevents damage to yourself.

Common sense. Survival instinct. Combined to a logical conclusion according to Reagan, and I largely agreed.

That is what it looks like when a man or woman has Core Beliefs. Those beliefs are lacking in the modern political leadership. Hell any political figure to be honest.

For a time, I lived in the district of John Barrow. A Democrat. The issue at hand was CAFTA. I sent him a letter arguing that Trade reduced enemies. You don’t go to war with a trading partner. And wars were bad.

John Barrow’s staff wrote me back. Congressman Barrow signed it. And I believe it was his ideals in the letter. He described the concerns he had about worker protections and protecting American Jobs. I was not convinced, but I agreed his view had some validity. I modified my opinion based upon his writings. They were core beliefs, and he didn’t blow smoke up my ass about how he agreed except this or that. He was honest, and I respected that.

Another time I wrote Alan Colmes of Hannity and Colmes fame. I told him I disagreed with him but respected his positions because they were consistent. He didn’t change them based upon the issue, he stayed true to his beliefs. I respected that and thanked him for being an honorable man on the issues.

He wrote me back thanking me. He said in the email that the viewers of Fox were supportive of him, but that Democrats were generally speaking upset with him for working there.

That was the beginning of the absence of Core Beliefs. When opposing the other side took precedence over everything. I’ve watched this happen. I’ve watched the slow march towards insanity. Our political debates have become nothing more than High School Homecoming game nonsense. Our team is awesome. We are Blue. You Blue guys suck. We’re Red!

As time went by, fewer core beliefs were in evidence. We are left with shallow little men and women who want power, not to make changes that are good for the people. But to punish and penalize their enemies. Political Enemies.

Which of those would I vote for? Which person do I choose to abuse the Constitutional Rights of the people? Which party do I support? I decided after 2018 that there wasn’t anyone left to vote for.

Look at your reply and see what I mean. We don’t have a candidate yet. They don’t have one yet. But we are already trying to come up with ways to get people to vote against them. We focus on stopping and defeating them to the point where we stand for nothing else.

It doesn’t make me happy. It makes me sad. It is a depressing thing to see. From glorious debates on issues to we have to get them. From moving rhetoric inspiring people to Stop the Fascists, stop the Socialists.

We will never again hear words like we once did. We will never again see a Politician inspire us as Kennedy did. Or Reagan. We will never again see the vital part of the process again. The part where a core belief shines through.

We are about to enter a new Dark Age. And your future will be determined not by your policies or beliefs. But by the color you are given to wear by your team.

Sadly I don't think there's any way we can avoid it. Afghanistan like many of the Middle Eastern conflicts boils down to a battle of Elan moral.... Despite their primitive beliefs this is something that the afghanis have in truckloads..
United States no longer has any of it at all there is no longer a belief system to fight for and the empty words those who claim they want to spread democracy all flat on the face of financial gain. The only way to win in Afghanistan would have been to genocide the entire population. Not really that hard to do but also highly questionable as to whether or not it would be proper to do or if it would constitute a heinous crime against humanity. A war must be fought with total commitment. That means committing to atrocity as well. If we are unable to commit to atrocity then we are unable to commit to war. The Taliban has absolutely no hesitation whatsoever about committing to atrocity. It wouldn't matter if we outnumbered them 50 to 1 they would still win for that reason.

Fauci the fraud? Who funded the disease in the first place. Mengele has got nothing on fauci.

Nothing.

Everything that Biden has done since being sworn in has helped enemies and potential ememies, from Putin to Xi, now this.

Seems quite a plan being put into effect if you think about all this.

You DO know that most of that equipment is going to be useless just in about a month, right?

The more I read about this issue, the more stunned I become.
It is beyond belief that we allowed this to happen.
Failure of leadership way beyond what we've ever seen.
Same happened in Iran when the Islamic Revolution happened....worse, there were lots of F-14s and other top level military aircraft. Left a fair amount in Viet Nam too.
