The hottest inflation in nearly four decades is inflicting financial pain on millions of U.S. households as prices for everyday necessities like food and gasoline continue to surge, according to a new Gallup survey.

The price spike has caused some degree of financial hardship for about 49% of Americans, according to the poll of 811 people conducted between Jan. 3 and Jan. 16. Roughly 9% of respondents said that inflation is causing "severe" hardship that has made it difficult to maintain their standard of living, while 40% described it as "moderate" financial pain. That's an uptick from November, when 45% of Americans said inflation was hurting their wallets.

The effect is more pronounced among lower-income families: Two-thirds of those making less than $40,000 a year say they experienced hardship compared with 56% of middle-income families and 32% of those earning more than $100,000 a year. What's more, 20% of Americans who are considered lower-income said the hardship they are experiencing is severe and hindering their ability to maintain their current standard of living.

Inflation jumped at its fastest pace in nearly 40 years last month, a 7% increase from the year-ago period, the Labor Department said recently.

2. Seen illegals just crossing the border willy-nilly? Could he fix that?

4. Did you see how he left 20 something billion dollars worth of military equipment behind, and OUR tax dollars paid for it? Think he could have changed that?

5. Wasn't Reagan elected to fix inflation? How did he do it pretty quickly? Biden using the same plan, and if so, where?

6. Under the last 2 Presidential elections, haven't both sides screamed something was amiss? Voter ID maybe, and couldn't he support that?

7. Crime is rising across the country, especially in large cities. Has he said anything about at least temporarily, stop the defunding the police movement and use a couple of cities as test areas for new ideas?

And the list goes on, and on!

Nobody should blame Joe Biden for things that are totally out of his control, that would be absolutely unfair. But, things he COULD address but does not............yep, fair game. People on the Left like some of the things Joe is doing, maybe you are one of them, but I am not trying to put words in your mouth.

Yet, it is more than obvious to anyone watching the mood of the country that------------->most Americans are NOT asking Joe to fix what he can NOT, but to fix what he is able to. Americans want to see an ATTEMPT to fix things that make sense, so far, the Left has done nada!

I feel the extremists on both sides of the political spectrum are hurting, possibly ruining, our democracy. Trumpism has attracted many different extremists, the vast majority on the right. I look at Trumpism more of a cult than a political movement. The Trump cult is having more success and doing more damage to our democracy, than the extreme left. I am a moderate. I want and work toward the extremists on both sides stop having out sized influence on our politics. The unfortunate truth is the extremists are more motivated than everyone else.
