People have a hard time paying their bills because the combined cost of government (Fed, State, Local) is almost 40% of GDP. Back in the 1950s and early 60s it was less than 20% of GDP and the middle class exponentially grew. Nowadays poverty is increasing. and family income is decreasing.

In many families, regardless of income, the direct and indirect cost of government is the largest yearly family expense.

More than the cost of housing or the cost of food or the single cost of anything else.

When I was an Engineer and my wife was a school teachers in many years my wife's take home pay was just about what our combined direct and indirect money we paid to the friggin government. One of us worked for the family and the other one worked for the government. Despicable, isn't it?

The best way to have more family income is to not help elect Democrats. During the Worthless Negro's administration and Potatohead's administration family income decreased. Under Trump's administration family income increased.
