An internal probe found that FEMA officials under Joe Biden's administration refused to help disaster victims who displayed support for President Donald Trump, the Department of Homeland Security announced Tuesday.

DHS investigators said the politically motivated discrimination stretched from Hurricane Ida in 2021 to Hurricane Milton in 2024.

The DHS Privacy Office concluded that FEMA workers "systematically bypassed" homes with pro-Trump or Second Amendment signs, collecting political data on survivors in direct violation of the Privacy Act of 1974.

We know that Democratic leaders time and time again have voted for aid for red states after disasters.
We also saw when New Jersey need help in one of the more rarer events of a Hurricane hitting a blue states, GOP congress and senators refused...

We also saw Trump blame California State for Wild Fires when the fire started and was mostly on Federal Land... State can't touch a tree on federal land, it is federal managed.

FEMA has a guidance to avoid hostile homes... Some people have signs up... e.g "I like the 2nd amusement and am not afraid to use it", "I hate the Government"... This investigation trying to equate that having a Trump sign in front of your house means your hostile...

What this was allow workers to use there own decision was it safe to approach some houses or not... Some workers said that they didn't feel safe approaching a house with pro Trump signs representing a Biden led Federal Government...
Federal workers get shot all the time for approaching houses.
This is Florida after a Hurricane with looting and a general lack of lawlessness...

So it isn't FEMA directing them, it FEMA allowing them to skip surveying a house if they feel it is Hostile and /or unsafe...
